It's Lost and Can't Be Found [C]

The rogue was getting more bold with each of his victories against clan cats. Teens mind you, but when he was their age he could have held his own much better. Maybe the actual adults weren't any different. The scent of spring was in the air and there were little dots of colorful buds on trees and on the ground. The days were longer and warmer and the cold bite of winter was finally becoming less and less powerful. Furthermore, birds and other animals were so focused on each other this time of year that it typically made them easy to catch. Asmodeus stepped over the Skyclan border with hardly a tail flick in acknowledgement. Let them come. Apparently they only ever sent adolescents to throw claws at the borders. Or perhaps the adolescents were too bold for their own good and wandered off alone. Either way was fine with him.

He crept under some pine branches and watched as a few sparrows flitted around on the ground nearby. Just as he thought, they were very focused on one another, bickering and trying to chase each other off. The black and white rogue burst from the needles of the branch and closed in on one individual.

Asmodeus would have never believed it if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes. A freakishly large rat bolted out of a bush opposite him, scaring the sparrows into the air. The rat startled upon seeing the cat and swiped out with it's claws. The rogue's reflexes were on point though, and he dodged deftly away while lashing out with an attack of his own. Once his leap sent him back about five feet from the monster sized rat, he could only stare in awe.

"What the-?? WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING???" He hissed in surprise, his fur fluffed out to it's maximum poofiness. All thoughts of clan cats were forgotten. He'd never in all of his life seen a rat as monstrous as the one before him. He swore it was at least half his size.

Harespring had been hunting apart from his patrol, preferring the solitude instead of the team work that sometimes other patrol members wanted. The golden tom walked along just enjoying the territory until he found the rogue scent. There wasn't even a chance to try and cover it. Just open and blatant. The warrior let out a growl, following the trail all the way to the Moonlit Creek.

He heard the rogue before he saw him. That shout wasn't quiet at all and it sounded like he was struggling. Blue eyes peered quietly through the undergrowth, spying the other tom, and a rather.. large rat. Harespring studied the situation for a second, knowing the rat wouldn't go down easily.. maybe he could help with the rat.. take it as food for Skyclan and maybe show the rogue off the territory in a more peaceful manner. It was a hopeful thought anyway, worth a try. Quickly the tom made his way out of the bushes and attacked the rat.

Asmodeus debated bolting right out of that place, and even more so considered it when he saw another tom appear from the bushes. A tall, slender white and gold tom. He eyed the other cat for a second, wondering if he was going to attack him instead of Ratzilla in front of them. Alas, the clan cat chose the latter, bringing a smile to Asmodeus's face. They might not all be losers after all. He thought briefly before he turned his attention to the rat.

The rat took the blow from the new cat, and just as he was about to make his move, the rat turned to Asmodeus again. It sprang forward with teeth and sank the sharp rodent incisors into Asmodeus's foreleg. The black and white tom yowled viciously before he pummeled the rat mercilessly with claws and teeth.

Rat used Gripping Bite, dealing 7 damage to Asmodeus and -15SP

Harespring couldn't help but wince slightly as he watched the Rat bite down on the rogue. He knew those teeth were sharp, and despite the creature being on the smaller side he knew it didn't feel good. He just hoped it wouldn't keep the stranger from walking out of here. Carefully the tom snapped his jaws down on the rat, and pulled back ripping it away from the Asmo's leg. He shook his head slightly making sure the rat was fully dead before throwing the rat away further into the territory, hoping his patrol mates would find it, and that the rogue didn't go after it.

"Are you alright?" He asked, even knowing he couldn't do anything about it. It was still polite to ask, at least before he chased the tom off the territory.
