Refreshments [open SC Herb Hunt]

The ragtag group of apprentice and Warriors trailed behind Heatherberry, her one good eye scanning the mud and bending her head down to push around in the snow. ”Anything you find, bring it to me! I don't want to see a single leaf or twig in anyone's mouth until I've confirmed it is safe… Please. Realizing her tone may have been too harsh, she corrected herself, graying shoulders dropping after noticing how tense she was standing. ”Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules and pushing through sickness to help. It really does mean the world to me. Ragweed is my main concern, which looks a bit ragged with tiny balled up petal-less flowers on the top." While she had lost two cats she held dear, it was not fair to everyone else that she isolate. Burdockroot and Echomist were not the only ones who had cared for her; and certainly not the last cars left that she cared for. Her spark had dwindled, but it was not lost.

Relief was visible as she caught sight if a purple and slightly shriveled plant: Lavender.

If Stagpaw was coming, then Hedgepaw was too! Besides, this was another duty that she could help out with, and she wanted to learn as much as possible. It was the job of an apprentice to learn, after all. She followed after Heatherberry's retreating form with a spring in her step, quietly enjoying the cool temperature and shelter of their surroundings. The mixture of white snow and dark mud was pleasing to look at. Her ears tilted forward, though, paying attention to what the medicine cat described. Ragweed... Ragged edges and flowers with no petals. Carefully her dark green eyes scanned the surroundings, looking for any sign of plant life--but especially any with the instructions that Heatherberry gave.

The first thing that caught her eye was a tiny white flower, poking up above the snow, easily missable against the similarly off-white background. She blinked at it carefully. It had leaves, little green ones, but they didn't look very ragged. Maybe it would be of help anyway? A sniff made her nose wrinkle slightly. It smelled kind of... pungent. "Something over here, too," she called out, echoing Stagpaw's voice from nearby. "I don't think it's ragweed, but it could be useful!" Something warm glowed in her chest when she saw her brother nearby. It always felt more fun to do something when they were doing it, too.

Hedgepaw has found wild garlic.

The call of her name had Heatherberry turning around to see what Stagpaw had found. Eye lighting up as she got closer: ragweed! "Oh, how wonderful!" She exclaimed, bumping her head gently against Stagpaw's shoulder. This looked to be enough to use for the rest of the cure. "These are safe to pluck; but be careful! I need them in good condition." The rock in her stomach seemed to break up into pebbles as another apprentice called out to her.

Black paws made long strides in the snow as she made her way to Hedgepaw, peering over her shoulder at her find: wild garlic. "Spectacular! It's safe to dig them up, but be mindful not to damage the white bulbs." Another great find she could add to the cure. Today was a very fruitful day- Oh?

Just next to where Hedgepaw stood, ragged leaves poked out from the snow. Gently, a large paw dusted away the snow to reveal yet another cluster of ragweed. She couldn't help but let out a rumbling purr. ShadowClan would be good as new with this! "I think this is enough. Let's get these dug up and return to camp. Quickly now!"
