All Hail RiverClan's Resident Pageant Queen
bubblenose

Being sick was... humbling, to say the least. Bubblenose didn't have it nearly as bad as some of her other Clanmates, but she wasn't quite as healthy as the other half of RiverClan either. It was some odd in-between that she didn't quite appreciate. She suffered from a terrible lack of energy that made her practically useless as far as hunting went. One piece of prey seemed to suck the life out of her for the rest of the day, not to mention the sudden coughing that would scare away anything with legs within a five-foxlength radius. Therefore, she had confined herself to camp until she felt better, or at least until she was able to silently move around again. It could be relaxing, but she knew that her job first and foremost was to help provide for the Clan, so she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty at the same time.
It was just a matter of time. Well, Bubblenose wasn't sure how long it would be, but time was the best medicine. She rested her head on her paws near the makeshift warriors den and held back a cough that attempted to escape from her maw. It didn't help that she could feel the slightest bit of nausea beginning to grow in the bottom of her belly. The new territory had brought many new things for the Clans, but it was a shame that sickness was one of them. Pairing that with the intense cold of leafbare didn't make for a pleasant combination. Still, she began to wish that she had the energy to pull herself up and find one of her Clanmates to talk to. A nice conversation would help to take her mind off of her symptoms.

Cindersky's chest felt taut. Her own fault, no doubt, from attempting to sleep on her side for StarClan-knows how long. She wasn't even quite sure what time of day it was, except for it not being night. Larkspring would've been back, but he had left some time before. He had not yet returned with a wet-moss delivery (despite Cindersky insisting she could fetch some herself every so often), so Rookflight was still asleep.
She had pulled herself to her feet, and the weight and vertigo of her head almost pulled her straight back down again. She was beyond exhausted, between sickness and only a lick of sleep the night before. She was getting more now, but she knew it was still not enough. And in her sleepy stupor, only just realised that her paw had brushed against something fuzzy on her way stumbling out of the den. Her eyes met a gray tail, and following up to the owner of said tail, she realised she knew who this was.
"Bubblenose," She said simply, hoarsely. When was the last time they had spoken?

"Cindersky?" Bubblenose piped up before smiling, "Oh, hi!" Her voice was far deeper than it normally was due to the scratchiness of her throat, but even though it had been a while, she still wasn't used to how inconvenient it was. It felt like there was constantly a cough on the tip of her tongue that was never able to escape.
"I feel like it's been forever... but I guess that's to be expected. Y'know, with the traveling and everyone getting sick and whatnot." She lowered her head in order to cough into her paw before looking back up at her friend. Bubblenose tilted her head to the side and let her ears droop. Talking probably wasn't the greatest remedy for her throat at the moment, but she wasn't about to let this stop her. Patrolling had already been taken away from her, surely her social life couldn't be next. "Sounds like the illness has hit you pretty hard too. Have you been alright?"
