Vinepaw chose to stick his large head into different dens around camp out of boredom - one of them being the nursery where he was met with a swipe of claws from one of the nursing queens. While he deserved it, it still made his blood run a bit hot as a trickle of blood ran down into his mouth from his nose. A deep, feral growl was all he could give in retaliation before backing away.

A pink tongue swiped over the scratch on his nose- an insignificant wound that he barely even noticed - as amber eyes scanned the camp for something to do. Sandy ears perked as he caught sight of a cat entering camp carrying a bundle of green leaves: Echosong. With haste, he met the tom just as the rest of his fluffy body left the brambles. "Need any help?"

EOh, look who it is! The boy savior

Chervil, comfrey, and dandelions hung in big beech leaves he had turned into a leaf bundle lay in his jaws as he entered the camp, his long fur snagging on the brambles as he entered the sandy clearing.

Echosong jumped slightly in surprise at the apprentice approaching so quickly, the tom dropped the bundle, fur rising on his hackles, and whipped his head around expecting there to be an injury, a dead clanmate, or something of that nature.

"Need any help?"

Realizing he had been mistaken and there wasn't any imminent danger, he chuckled and shook his head, "Well, you could assist me with bringing these to the den and helping me sort them, yes?" he purred with amusement as he twitched his whiskers.

A delighted purr sounded from the tom when Echosong not only agreed to the help to carry them, but to even help sort the miscellaneous bundles. "You'd really let me do that?! I'd love to! Here, give me a few." Nabbing a bundle of herbs from Echosong, Vinepaw looked at the medicine cat to lead the way. The opportunity to learn something while cooped up in camp waiting for a warrior to have something for him to do outside, was far too exciting to pass up.
