EOh, look who it is! The boy savior

The dawn was breaking over the tops of the trees as Echosong made his way through the tunnel of ferns that hid the medicine den. He stepped carefully through the clearing trying not to wake up any of his clanmates. Echosong dropped the bundle of herbs at the door of the apprentice den before poking his head in, "Shrewpaw, come, it's time for your Moonstone Journey." he called, his voice loud enough to cut through the snoring but not enough to wake up others.

Ducking his head out he waited until she made her way out and nodded his head giving her an encouraging smile, "We're going to journey to Mouthermouth, these herbs will help you stay strong and not get so hungry on our journey as we won't have time to stop to hunt." he explained as he pushed them towards her, "Alright. Let's go." was all he meowed before padding towards the exit to camp. This would be his first Moonstone Journey as a full medicine cat, and he was glad to be making the journey with his newest friend to keep him company.

The words "Shrewpaw" and "Moonstone" had the apprentice shaking the sleep from her pelt immediately as she exited the den, tripping over more than a few tails in her haze. It had earned her a few glares on the way out but that didn't matter right to her right now. The right flower could smooth over any upset that she had just caused, if her fellow apprentices even remembered it was her. Shrewpaw gave the herbs a curious sniff. Cedarstalk and Copperlark had told her how disgusting these were, but she had planned for this. Shrewpaw shoveled the herbs into her mouth with haste and swallowed, nearly choking on the bundle as it went down. "Ready, Echost- wait a second." In her haste Shrewpaw had almost forgotten something important. Rushing back into the den Shrewpaw found her nest and the flowers the lay beside them. She tucked the daisy and peony behind each ear before returning to meet Echostar once more. "Ok, I'm ready now Echostar." The molly mewed as she followed her medicine cat out of camp.

EOh, look who it is! The boy savior

It felt like quite the short journey, he made great small talk with 'Shrewstar' and spoke of all of his travels, his capture of twolegs, his life story - all of the fun interesting things he had done. He liked his friends to know everything about him, it made him feel truly connected to them. Only when they reached the Highstones and the winds disappeared as they closed in on Mother mouth did he still his voice. The tom looked back at the apprentice and gave a smile that hopefully made any worries she had disappear. "We're here. It will be darker than any night in there. Keep close to me friend, I'll never forgive myself if I lose you in the tunnels." he meowed, giving her a sharp nod before descending into the cave. He hummed slightly, his voice echoing on the chamber walls. The light of the moonstone was comforting as a lick on the forehead from a mother.

"Lay down and press your nose to the stone and our ancestors will speak to you in your dreams." he meowed softly, allowing her a moment to take in the beauty of the stone before he took up his own place beside it.

"I'll be here when you awake."
