What's that smell? (closed?)

Among all the kits in the nursery, there was always this lump of white-and-black fur that never seemed to move except to eat or drink. Which was the last thing Shadowclan should be teaching their kits to be. Tawnyshadow watched as her three daughters ran forward only to be rejected by the kit before they could even open their mouth. How should she handle this? He was still a kit, but already her blood was boiling whenever she caught sight of him sleeping the entire day. She padded up to him and sat down close to him. "Are you excited for your apprentice ceremony?" She began. Surely, any kit would be?

Oh, good. At least this lump of fur wasn't completely without use. "What do you look forward to the most? Hunting? Fighting?" Tawnyshadow prompted. When she had taken Dawnbright in as a kit, she made sure that Dawnbright had known a few basic skills before she was made an apprentice, and she's been doing the same for her current litter. Perhaps she could teach Skunkkit a thing or two, maybe that could increase his motivation to do something.

Tawnyshadow nodded encouragingly as the kit's eyes lit up. "Do you want me to teach you a little something now? It would be really helpful when you become an apprentice!" She continued. Great Starclan, must talking to kits really be so tiring? Whatever. She was a queen now, and her job was to make sure there was no rotten traits in any of the kits before they become apprentices.

Finally it occured to the kit to actually use his legs for what they were made for. "A simple battle move. It's called the Front Paw Strike," Tawnyshadow explained simply, raising a paw to strike the air in front of her as a form of demostration. It was a move that she had taught other kits before, and they all seemed to have caught on easily, so surely it wouldn't be a problem for Skunkkit.
