The day was bright and warm as Wolfblossom looked over the camp. Since the gathering, life had gone on, and injuries that were sustained as collateral damage had began healing. Today she would perform a ceremony while Birdstar was ill. Another apprentice was now ready to become a warrior. The deputy was glad for the occurrence.
"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the tallbranch for a clan meeting!"
Littlepaw padded slowely out of the apprentice den with a proud smile. It still stung when she walked but it was better than the searing pain at the beginning, Smokepetal did a great job in healing her. Littlepaw greeted whin with a nudge of her nose before walking to the front of the gathered cats. She sat down next to her mom, a small purr leaving her fluffy body. She looked up at wolfblossom with a look of excitement and nervousness of the future ahead.

"Littlepaw, step forward," Wolfblossom smiled softly at the apprentice. She had been one of the cats injured at the gathering, though it was no fault of anyone but Shadowclan and Windclan's leaders. She was healing well according to the medicine cats, and had trained hard without losing her friendly nature. Wolfblossom felt she was ready to receive her name as a warrior.
"I, Wolfblossom, deputy of Skyclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Littlepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Littlepaw winced as she stood up but she wanted to make sure everyone could hear her. "I do with all my heart!" she mewed confidently with her head held high. She knew that she would do anything for this clan, even if it meant fighting all the other clans. She smiled at wolfblossom with a look of courage in her eyes.

Wolfblossom could tell that the injury still bothered Littlepaw a bit, but her answer, when it came, was enthusiastic. Wolfblossom grinned back at her, then continued. "Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior name. Littlepaw, from this moment on you will be known as Littleflower. Starclan honors your friendliness and outgoing nature, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Skyclan."
Ceremony complete, the deputy leapt down from the tallbranch and padded toward her. "Congratulations, Littleflower. May your vigil tonight be uneventful."
Foxtrot was the first to congratulate the newest warrior besides Wolfblossom. He rested his muzzle on the top of her head briefly before smiling at her, "Littleflower, my first apprentice. Tonight you must guard the camp in silence until sunrise. I'm proud of you." he meowed, the very pride he spoke of welled in his chest and he stepped back to let everyone else congratulate the new warrior.

Whinchatpaw watched the ceremony proceed from the sidelines, but he could not be prouder of his dearest friend. With eyes aglow, he listened to Wolfblossom's speech. A twinge of bittersweet feelings clouded the tom's gaze for a bit.
Now that his flower was a warrior, would she grow too busy for him? With an apprentice of her own coming soon (he was sure of it), Littleflower would also be busy with completing her duties. As for him, the leg that had taken the brunt of the flames still hindered his progress to warriorhood.
"Littleflower! Littleflower!" he cheered, letting her mentor give his congratulations first. Whinchatpaw made his way to his friend, now a warrior. He gently rubbed his head affectionately against her chest without second thoughts.
"Littleflower is a gorgeous name. You aren't leaving me behind now... are you?" he teased, though there was a hint of truth in his words.
