| Rookfire smiled softly. ShadowClan's camp looked a bit rough for wear, but many of the structures were still intact (and those that weren't could be rebuilt in time). He was happy that his kits could come back here, even if they were older, and not all of them made it. They seemed like they were growing up into fantastic cats, and he was really happy about Marshmallow's contributions as a parent too. It seemed like everything was going right.
He knew they weren't likely to be in the nursery anymore, and they were more active as apprentices, but he thought it would still be great talking with them. One-by-one, the black tuxedo talked to them, asking them to meet up in the middle of camp when the sun started to rise to do something fun, when most ShadowClan cats started to climb back into their nests to sleep. Now, it was just time for him to wait.
Poppypaw was the first cat to arrive, quietly stepping towards Rookfire. "I'm here," he said quietly, giving Rookfire a curt nod. Rookfire gave him a nod back. | Applepaw had no idea what "fun" his father had planned, but he was honestly quite curious to find out. He'd been a bit glum since Sunpaw's disappearance; although his brother could be an annoying furball at times, Applepaw missed him. On the bright side, his leg had nearly healed, so he would likely be able to return to his training soon.
