Crookedpaw was quickly roused from his slumber. He slept a lot more around here, as there was not much else to do. He could bother Rowanpaw some more, but he worried about annoying him too much…Now, though, he had another SkyClan camp in the nest.

He sat up tall, his ears perked. His wide eyes looked to Trufflesnap. She was not a warrior that Crookedpaw had interacted with before, but he knew that she was important in the clan. If he was remembering correctly, she was the sister to Birdchaser, Wolfblossom, and Plumleaf…so he had better do well as to listen to her.

“Yes ma’am!” he mewed quickly. He got to his paws and followed after her. He had only seen the occasional mouse or two in the house, as instead the only food available was the gross kittypet food that the twoleg provided…But it was better than starving. “How is home?”

Crookedpaw did not expect to get into a fight in this twoleg nest. He’d always thought of kittypets as docile creatures. But Trufflesnap was anything but docile, given her snarling ravings to Crookedpaw only moments prior. He did not even get a chance to try and say that he doubted she was unwanted, or worthless, or that her siblings hated her—but then there was a cat, and fighting, and now Crookedpaw just had to help.

He'll think about what to say later.

Crookedpaw rushed in. He didn’t know how to fight all that well and hoped he would not embarrass himself too badly alongside Trufflesnap. He realized that she was using claws, and so his unsheathed to do the same.

He rushed behind the rogue tabby and his teeth latched onto the cat’s tail and yanked hard, throwing the cat off balance for the moment to give Trufflesnap another opportunity to slash at the cat.

Crookedpaw used Tail Yank, dealing 7 damage and costing 15 stamine.
