Astershine and Stoatclaw had already earned their names, and it was time for another apprentice to step up and join them. Though it didn't seem there was much to be happy about these days, the sudden influx of ceremonies offered something. Raising her voice, Birdchaser called, "Let all cats old enough to climb the trees, gather around me for a Clan meeting!"

Hearing the deputy call a meeting, Willowpaw padded over and took her place among the gathering Skyclan cats. It was nice to have something normal, like meetings and ceremonies, while all this was going on.

It wasn't long before Willowpaw arrived among the crowd, and Birdchaser dipped her head in a curt nod of acknowledgement. After a few beats to let the rest of their Clanmates gather, she raised her voice to begin the ceremony in earnest. "Willowpaw, I've heard that you've done well in your training, and you're ready to receive your warrior name. Step forward, please." Another dragged second of silence so the molly could move ahead. "StarClan, I call upon you to look down upon this apprentice. She's trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in turn. Willowpaw, do you promise to uphold the ways of the warrior code, to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Willowpaw almost couldn't breathe from excitement. She stepped forward, and listened, like she had done at all the other ceremonies she had attended- but this time it was for her. "I do" she said solemmly, meaning it with every inch of her being.

The quietly thrilled 'I do' was all Birdchaser needed to hear. She offered the molly another nod of acknowledgement and encouragement before raising her voice again. "Then I grant you your full name as a warrior. From this day on, you will be known to all as Willowvine. SkyClan honors your commitment, and I look forward to seeing you progress." Stepping into the crowd, Birdchaser bent down to touch her nose to the newly-named warrior's head. "Congratulations, Willowvine. Be careful during your vigil tonight."
