Even though Thunderclan's earth had been cracked, where the camp and territory had been left in a particularly marred state... Thunderclan had carried on. They had slowly cleared out the camp, cleared out large parts of the territory to once again make it safe. It was during that time that she had recognized it was more than time for an apprentice to gain their name.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

Sunpaw lifted his head at Mottlestar's call. A Clan meeting - probably something to do with the earthquake. Hopefully it wouldn't hold more duties for him; the earth-shaking had left the camp with plenty of extra debris that he and the other apprentices had been dealing with for a while. Although it seemed clean at the moment, there was always more to do. The tom had no thought of a warrior ceremony in mind as he sat down next to his Clanmates, waiting for Mottlestar to continue.

As the apprentice found his spot in the crowd, there would be little wasted time by the leader. "Sunpaw, step forward." She called. The gathering cats would now know in fact just what this clan meeting was for. It wasn't about the earthquake, no. Instead, it was to celebrate the dedication of a young, almost warrior. "You have trained hard in the ways of the warrior, and you have more than done your part to earn your full place in Thunderclan. But first, I must ask. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and serve Thunderclan, even at the cost of your life?" She questioned. Every warrior took the oath, but it was tradition, even if she knew the answer.

So it was his ceremony. Sunpaw couldn’t quite stop his inhale of surprise as he stepped towards Mottlestar. He hadn’t had any idea of when he’d become a warrior, but certainly didn’t think it would be so soon. The tom dipped his head as his leader recited the traditional words, and he mewed his own back. “I do.” He hoped his voice didn’t betray his excitement - though who would be surprised if it did? It was most important moment of his life thus far, after all.

Mottlestar beamed down, having momentarily drifted off into space as she thought about what all was going on with the Clan.
"Then from this day forth, you shall be known as Sunstrike. Thunderclan honors you for your dedication, and quick mind."
