It had been a hot minute since ShadowClan's borders had been marked, and seeing as Roseburn wasn't getting along with very many cats in camp, she may as well do it herself. She doubted ThunderClan or SkyClan would be crossing their borders anytime soon, but she still wanted to make sure. After all, the Clan was weak, and everyone knew they were. How did she know Clans wouldn't take advantage of that?

Okay, so maybe it didn't make sense that ThunderClan would help them only to invade them, and the high ranks didn't seem like the type to fight for territory anyway. Maybe she just wanted an excuse to get as far from her brother as possible. Maybe she was hoping to see a familiar face, because she had more friends in ThunderClan than she did in her own Clan. Maybe she didn't know what she wanted, or what she was looking for coming here. All she knew was that everything was a mess right now. And it was hard.
