With Shadowclan swept away from their clans, and split. Many cats are too sick, or injured, to go to the gathering. Deciding it best to gather their strength, they stay in Skyclan's camp to have their own small gathering

Rookfire sighed as he padded into the clearing. He gazed around SkyClan's camp. This was probably one of the only times he would ever get to see it, so he could at least make the most of it. As the other ShadowClan cats began to gather, and some SkyClan cats came out to watch, the black tuxedo waited for Froststar to ask him what to do.

Fuzzybelly strolled up to the clearing. SkyClan was very different than ShadowClan, that was for sure. There were so many trees, the ground felt really hard under his feet, and they were very active throughout the day.

“Howdy,” the tom meowed to Rookfire. There weren’t many of them yet, but they would come soon.

The vision he saw at the medicine cat meeting chewed away at him. He was going to tell both Nightstalker and Froststar about it, at least until the entire camp flooded over. A warning about that would have been nice…

The tom sat at the base of SkyClan’s Jaggedrock (whatever they called it, he wasn’t sure). Froststar would be there eventually.

His mind wondered about Basilbloom and the others. Were they safe? Was everything okay?

Fuzzybelly was in his own thoughts. Times like this made it really apparent that being a medicine cat solo came with risks, including half of his Clan not having an active medicine cat on retainer. Could he ever teach as well as Basilbloom did? He wasn’t sure. He yearned for simpler days like a kit, back when it was the two of them. That den was too big for just one cat.

He had big paws to fill, and his just felt so small.

Froststar padded about slowly, having been accepted into Skyclan, he had tried his utmost to not be disruptive. However, when two clans operate on separate sleep schedules, one could hardly call that not disruptive. He looked up at the full moon, Skyclan having already left for their gathering. He would not disrespect Shadowclan's hosts by ascending their... whatever it was they climbed up onto. He looked up at what seemed to be a well-worn branch, and immediately had thought better than to attempt the climb, and embarrass himself in the process. "Shadowclan," Froststar began, not as loud as he usually would, still mindful of Skyclan's remaining cats, "Please come gather beneath the full moon with me, so that we may discuss the moon's events... and perhaps how to proceed." Looking for a smaller rock, he found one that acted as a slight stepping stone, that he could at least see everyone in his clan, and not just their necks.

Honeypaw

Honeypaw walked over at Froststar’s call, settling down in the midst of the gathering crowd of Shadowclan cats and nodding a greeting to those who had gathered. He tried to muster a smile, but as Honeypaw looked around, he couldn’t help but feel there were not as many of them there as there should be. Any other full moon, he’d be with Iceheart by this point, either begging her to let him stay home or sticking close by her side as they entered the gathering together.

Not knowing what’s happened to Iceheart, or indeed, to nearly half their clan, has been driving Honeypaw crazy. He thought that being caught in a flood like that would’ve been his worst nightmare, that nearly drowning all over again would’ve been the worst thing he could experience. But now he knows that this anxious, helpless waiting, stuck at the mercy of another clan and unable to help the cats he cared about… that was worse than anything else he’s experienced yet.

Honeypaw kneaded the ground, out of anxiety, rather than his normal excitement, as he turned his attention to Froststar. His tail swished back and forth, disturbing the ground behind him, but he was unable to keep still. He was grateful, at least, that they still had their leader. He hoped Froststar had some sort of plan, or something that he could tell them that would put Honeypaw’s mind at ease. Just…something.

This was... unfortunate. It was like the time with the Dark Forest cats all over again — except they weren't here, nor were they looming around the territories any longer, thank the stars. With the flood sweeping them to SkyClan, there was not much they could do. Most were injured, sick, and exhausted. His ears flicked at Froststar's call, a small frown was placed upon his maw, noticing the subtle difference in his usual tone. Of course, he must be one of the most exhausted cats, after all.

Luckily enough, he wasn't scratched up too badly. Poor Fuzzybelly... He must be carrying a lot of responsibility. Eyes anxious, or perhaps even mistakably determined, Duskflight gazed at their leader, not on the familiar Jaggedrock as they were used to. This was...SkyClan. Just, hopefully, he would have a plan.

Crowspirit

Everyone was so tired and dull, she had been afraid to attempt to cheer things up at all. Crowspirit sat in the middle, hearing Froststar's call for a discussion. The more puzzling version of a Gathering, maybe. Her eyes were saddened nonetheless, though they still held hope. Since the arrival on SkyClan's territory, she had been caught up with a fever. Though not as bad as most others of her clanmates, it still affected her.

Waiting for something to be said, she would slowly flick her tail, getting lost in her own thoughts.

Swiftheart walked slowly over from the med den, her cough had gotten a little better but she sat a good distance away from everyone else to avoid spreding the sick. She normally would have loved to be in th3e middle of it all and talking with everyone but she was so tired that for now she would jsut listen to what frost had in planning for them. she hoped that part of that plan would be searching for those still uncounted for

Coughing, Froststar watched as what was left of his clan gathered. He hoped that Briarstar would bring back good news... that his clan had been swept in another direction as well... However, he had to make do with what he had. Once most had arrived, he began. "First off... I would ask that you all, at some point tonight, give thanks to Skyclan for their hospitality. It need not only be with words, but also deeds, if you are well enough to hunt I encourage it. Perhaps we can bring back prey that roams in the night that Skyclan does not usually see."

His gaze swept across the cats looking at him, seeing only anxiety and fear. It was normal but, he had to try and raise his clan's spirits. "I would suspect that Skyclan, upon returning from the gathering, will bring news of any other clanmates that have found a place in other clans. Please, do not lose hope that you will see your loved ones again, we survived, and I suspect they survived as well. I only ask that you have faith a little while longer."

Pausing, the tom could only think of his own loved ones. He worried for Webshadow, he was an elder now, but that didn't mean he couldn't take care of himself. He had to keep faith too... he wondered how long he could, and his own kits were due any day now. He had to believe his mate was alive and well, and that he would see their kits just as he hoped he would. "Now, I would like to open the discussion. Please, tell me what your thoughts are. On everything that has happened, and perhaps what you would like to happen going forward."

Murkyhope was a little late to arrive, she hadn't really heard the first meeting call, but she was alerted son enough when Froststar began to speak, she glanced around at her clanmates, and shuffled into the crowd of cats, muttering a quiet 'sorry' to anyone she happened to push past. She was still struggling to adjust to these new surroundings, everything was so... different from Shadowclan's territory. She felt a little claustrophobic at times staring at the large trees that closed them in. "Hm..." Murkyhope wondered aloud. "The clans are well known for being secretive, what will we do if no other clans mention finding Shadowclan cats..?" She mumbled, ears flattening. She closed her eyes and shook her head, trying to gather her thoughts again. "How will we know when to return to our territory..? Everything in this place is so different, my paws ache to get back home.."

Echomist had heard the call for the gathering, but he was a little slow on the uptake in getting over to the gathered cats. His paw was still very sore, it was difficult to move as well as he wanted to, but for now he would deal with it. Green eyes looked at his leader, watching from the back of the group. He didn't like being here but there wasn't much of a choice. At least not with his paw the way it was. The tom looked around at the others wondering if anyone would speak up. He wouldn't.. maybe not at this point in time. For now he would sit back and watch.

Swiftheart was very tired and felt terrible. It had out her in a bit more of an irritable mood than she had ever felt like before. She was missing so many of her clanmates and being sick in this foreign land was awful and she just wanted to go home and see her family again. She was frustrated that no others had been found yet and despite froststar asking them to remain hopeful (something she usually excelled at). It was not happening tonight. She felt utter despair and emptiness at the thought of never seeing many of her clanmates again.

Has starclan told you anything about this? And why didn’t they warn us ahead of time? she asked coughing s little afterwards. She was also frustrated that they couldn’t send at least someone with to the gathering in case if any strangling shadowclan cats had made their way there to meet at the gathering why froststar hadn’t done this was bugging her but it wasn’t really her style to argue with anyone yet alone the leader of the clan so she didn’t argue that at all . He knew what he was doing… she hoped. He had always led them through hard times before.

Her daughter had brought up good points as well… how could they trust that the others clans could be trusted?

❒ Forestbreeze gathered alongside his other clanmates at Froststar's call. It was clear that everyone still felt wary and restless despite being relatively accepted within Skyclan's camp. Most were anxious to hear the news of the other half of their clan, Forest included. Iceheart never left his mind no matter what he tried to distract himself with. He missed her dearly and feared her unknown situation. However, this didn't mean he didn't worry for the others.

❒ Walking over to Honeypaw, he offered the younger tom a weary smile and settled down next to him, tail wrapping itself around the apprentice. Lately, he'd been seeking out Honey's company. He was primarily Iceheart's lovely apprentice but had also become his friend over the last two moons or so. After what had happened with the flood and the separation, Forest was feeling extra protective of the younger tom. Even if they separated to do their own thing, Forestbreeze was left anxious as to when he could see the other again. It wasn't right to smother and hover over poor Honeypaw so he gave him whatever space he needed but it didn't mean he had to stop worrying.

❒ His attention focused back on the leader as he watched him finally begin the "Gathering". The warrior sunk his claws into the ground below as Froststar continued to speak. He had hope. There was a chance that the other clans could have information about the missing half of the clan. He gnawed on the inside of his cheek as he pondered the points and questions his clanmates began to raise. His brows furrowed. Swiftheart's words had him a bit troubled. Why hadn't they been warned about the flood by Starclan? He understood that sometimes things happened that were even beyond the power the starry cats held. However, Starclan at least tried to make contact with either the medicine cat, the leader, or even the deputy after the issue initially arose. If there was no answer from Starclan even now, what was the reason?

❒ "Putting aside the lack of warning about the flood, has any contact been made with Starclan recently?" He couldn't help but ask. He had so many questions and no answers. They were all frustrated but it wouldn't do them well to lose their heads now.

"Despite other clans being secretive, they have no reason to withhold the information of Shadowclan cats being found on their territory, though they could certainly spin it in a negative light should they wish to. However, I do not care if they are negative or not, I just want our clanmates found. If they are not, when our territory is habitable again, we shall send out parties ourselves to find our clanmates. They will not be left behind." Others spoke next, Starclan being their next topic. "Starclan is not always one to warn, and I have not been informed of Starclan contacting us. Our ancestors do as they wish, and I can only assume they believed we would make it through without their assistance. We can always rebuild, and I still have faith that our clanmates are well. Is there anything else you all wish to discuss?"

Swiftheart was distraught with what she felt like was just being told to sit and wait it all out ... They should be out there taking a more active role in things to find their clanmates. The first week she had been completely out sick here but she was more so on the mend now.

She was tired of living in Skyclan personally and wanted to find her brother, her father, her sister... the list went on and on.

She didn't like how Froststar was handling this and frowned uneasy. It wasnt her place to call out the leader though. As much as she did not like his decision. Just having faith that their clanmates were well was what his plan was?? The white warrior closed her eyes not believing what she was hearing. Web was out there somewhere and he was just gonna do nothing? Half of his clan was missing and he just wanted them to sit tight?

Now, all this being said... Swiftheart was never one to desire leadership or take the lead on anything. And she respected Froststar alot for leading her clan. He had always treated her well and was like another father to her and to alot of the entire clan too. She just really disliked this decision by him. It was not in her nature to tell him that though, not in front of everyone that is... perhaps in private she might nudge him a little but it just was not like her to speak out against his plan in front of everyone.

She shrugged her shoulders looking up at him but nodded a little. There was nothing left for her to discuss ... not here anyway.
