Basilbloom's Elder Ceremony

Froststar leapt up onto the Jaggedrock with a look more solemn than he usually portrayed, his pawsteps almost hesitant as he approached the edge. Almost. Basilbloom had suffered a medical issue involving her heart. The tom had known about her disability ever since he had been a kit, and he knew the weariness it could cause her. He had not realized, however, just how awful it could be. "All cats old enough to silently stalk in the shadows, gather in the shadow of Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" His call rang out in the clearing for the whole clan to hear. Every elder was a gift, a beloved member of the clan who had been blessed with retirement. Froststar hoped Basilbloom's was long and restful, for her sake.
