Adderkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Smallbean skittered to the top of the Tallrock, looking down over the camp. This was starting to get a lot easier. He drew in a deep breath. "All cats old enough to run the moors gather beneath the Tallrock for a clan meeting!"

Smallbean's voice made Adderkit's hair raise, and reluctantly, he stepped forward to sit where the deputy could see him. Their parents had been fussing over him and Flutterkit for days, preparing for their ceremonies to come. And since Adderkit had been forced into being groomed so his fur lay neat before pushed into the sun, he could only assume this one was his. And hopefully Flutter's is soon, too.

Smallbean softly smiled upon seeing Adderkit in the crowd. The younger tom's fur was admittedly much better kept than his own- suitable for the special occasion, he supposed. "Adderkit, you have now reached the age of six moons. and are ready to become an apprentice. From now until you become a warrior, you will be known as Adderpaw. Your mentor will be Coyotegrin." After speaking, he leaped from the Tallrock, joining his clanmates in celebration and cheering on the new apprentice.

Coyotegrin stepped forward and greeted her new apprentice. With both Whisperpaw and Fallowpaw moving up soon, she was ready for the next one. Plus, it seemed like Adderkit would be a perfect Tunneler.
