Deerleap tasted the air as Swiftheart approached. she ran up and touched her former mentor's cheek for a second before pulling back. "Let's do another spar! I've yet to win against you!" she purred, leading the white warrior to the center of the clearing. "are you ready?" she asked, glancing at Swiftheart.

Swiftheart grinned following her friend along. "Im always ready for you!" she purred with a warm smile. She got into a defensive position and nodded ready for whatever Deerleap would throw at her.

Deerleap crouched and narrowed her eye playfully. suddenly, quick as a minnow, she leaped at Swiftheart, using her weight and speed to push the warrior off balance.

Swiftheart was suprised at how much her apprentice had imporved and how much harder she was able to hit.  Wow she had gotten really good at this.

She swiped at her former appretnice hoping to land a hit back, however for once she actually completly missed and her paw sailed harmlessly past Deerleap in a total miss

Deerleap hopped out of range as Swiftheart attacked, satisfied that the she-cat had missed. maybe she hadn't been giving herself enough credit for improving. At least, she hoped that was the case. she didn't want Swiftheart to be going easy on her.

Swiftheart tried to move out of the way of the attack but Deerleap was too fast. Her old apprentice had gotten so much better at this.

She quickly spotted an opening again however and grinned as she struck at Deerleaps shoulder. Trading strikes with her old apprentice and good friend

Deerleap was able to get a hit in, but so did Swiftheart. the younger warrior stumbled from the blow to the shoulder. steadying herself, Deerleap reared up on her hindlegs and brought her paws down with so much force that Deerleap herself was send reeling back.

Deerleap got a massive hit in and the wind was knocked out of Swiftheart.  She struggled back to her paws and faced Deerleap.  Swiftheart had never had to work so hard before to spar against her apprentice who had clearly gotten much better.


Thinking quickly she hoped that maybe a pin would work against her

She leapt on top of Deerleap and did her best to try and hold her down
