A Fawn and A Dove [c]

Though Fawnpaw didn't particularly love herbs as she had before, she found them.. interesting. Some were leafy, others not so much. Most were safe to touch, but certain others were not. Her knowledge was widened ever since she became a.. well, medicine cat apprentice; or one in training, anyway. One day, she'd be like Dovefrost. That was interesting to know, the very least. As the early morning light dawned onto them, she'd heard Dovefrost call for her to head out herb searching— and so she did, preparing to scan the forest for useful herbs.

"Are there any particular herbs that we're low on, Dovefrost? I know Leaf-bare is ending soon, and that Newleaf is arriving with newer ones, but.. how is that season like?" As she mewed, her eyes continued to scan across the snowy grounds, and she paused as she saw something from a distance. A bright yellow herb with rounded leaves, poking out from the covers of the snow. Walking over to it, she'd quickly collect the herb, then return to resume walking beside the medicine cat. "This is tansy.. right?" She'd give it a couple sniffs.

Dovefrost had padded along with his apprentice, ready to collect some herbs. Of course they could use just about anything, but some more than others. "Honestly.. stuff that soothes coughs would be the best to find, leaf-bare has not been kind to our throats. So many types of coughs.." He told her.

"As for New Leaf.. it's warm. Warmer than this season that is for sure. Plants grow stronger, and turn greener, the trees start regrowing their leaves, cold still lingers in the air but not as much as now. It makes the day rather pleasant." He tried t recall the memories, and put what he did recall into details as much as he could, but he was never the best at words. Hopefully Fawnpaw got the idea.

He watched as she padded off, finding something to catch her interest he almost turned away before she called out to him once again. He nodded in response to her question before realizing, with embarrassment, she couldn't see him. "Yes, it is Fawnpaw. Good job."

Warmer, pleasant weather.. How interesting.

The description of Newleaf continued to linger in her mind for just a moment, then it was gone. She'd purr at the although short, but still, encouraging comment from Dovefrost. As the two continued to walk, Fawnpaw gazed at the sceneries from afar. What are the cats from the other clans like..? She'd heard that apparently, RiverClan cats were sleek, well-fed cats, and they could swim well. That was.. odd. She couldn't picture herself being drenched in water while training, brr. And ShadowClan.. scary, large cats that lurked in the shadows. WindClan— fast and quick cats who lived on the moors. Finally, SkyClan.. they climbed trees and could leap far distances. Was that why they were called SkyClan?

A particular smell shook out her thoughts, and the young molly scanned the sceneries for an herb again. Spotting daisy leaves, she sniffed the herb, and quickly took it back. It wasn't anything as well as before, though it still would help.

It seemed that his apprentice no longer needed his assistance at the moment, or had anymore words for him, so he decided to split away for just a moment to find his own herbs. The more herbs they found the better their supply. During leaf-bare anything was useful so there wasn't really anything to particular he was looking for.

A little bit of blue caught the medicine cat's attention. Juniper Berries They were useful. The large white tom padded over to the bush before resting back on his hunches to pick the berries. Green eyes glancing back to his apprentice for a moment to make sure she was going okay before returning his attention to the berries at paw.
