“Get up.” He spoke, once again treading into his apprentice’s dreams. Flintfang once spoke the same to Dewpaw when he was alive. His voice was flat and direct, holding on to that same hope. The mists swirled around them as the two rose. Appledapple and Starlingflare, he stared at them and felt something. “Today I’m going to teach you to fight, to fight for new ideals, for a new world.” He paced around them, tail lashing excitedly. “Let’s begin.”

There was that voice again. Appledapple awoke suddenly, though she knew in an instant that she was still technically dreaming. It still felt strange... Experimentally she flexed her claws. Those still worked. Good. The voice came through her ears again, and she paid attention this time. Flintfang. She still wasn't exactly sure what to make of the tom. He promised power and help for her Clan, but he also seemed to have different ideas of what that meant. Even now, whatever nonsense he was spouting about "new ideals" and "a new world" soured her disposition a little bit. She just wanted to fix ThunderClan. Was that so much to ask? Instead of commenting on her doubts, the tortoiseshell shook out her pelt and glanced around to see if Starlingflare was there. "I'm ready," she meowed, keeping her tone free of the wariness that still hung around her eyes.

Starlingflare blinked open his single eye at the sound of the familiar voice. Flintfang.. He called us back. The tom thought as he stood up, his yellow gaze taking in the familiar territory once again. New ideals.. A new world.. Yes. He wanted that. He wanted to create a new world where Thunderclan was a force to be reckoned with. One that wouldn't be stepped on. He would be strong. He would make them strong. He would be their leading force, creating fear in their enemies as needed. He might not ever have a -star attached to his name, but he was going to make himself remembered. That was for sure.

"Let's go." He didn't have any time to waste. They needed to make improvements as soon as possible.

He acknowledged their signals of ready, and wasted no time. Flintfang stopped his pacing and laid out the plan. "Let's train then, claws sheathed, no reason to spill more blood." And as quick as the words fell from his mouth, he leapt. Moons of warrior training and even more moons of solidarity had rendered him an experienced fighter. He came for Starlingflare first, he was the biggest. Claws sheathed, the gray tabby tom charged into his ribcage, knocking him to the ground. He was gentler in his approach, but the force was still there. Panting, Flintfang swung his head towards Appledapple, waiting for retaliation.

Flintfang used Dishonorable Charge on Starlingflare, dealing 9 damage and costing 20 stamina. Starlingflare is stunned for 1 turn.

A battle... Now, this was something Appledapple knew how to handle. It made sense to not use claws on someone who wasn't an enemy. As soon as the tom charged at Starlingflare, she smirked. Perfect. He goes for who he thinks is the bigger threat. I guess not even dead cats are infallible. Almost before Flintfang had finished attacking, the tortoiseshell charged at him, leaping and bowling him over with her momentum. He was much larger than her, but moons of battle practice and controlled anger made her muscles practiced at battle motions. She almost forgot to keep her claws sheathed, but stopped herself from digging into the tom's shoulders, choosing instead to put her weight down on pressure points to keep him pinned.

Appledapple used Leap-and-Hold on Flintfang, dealing 10 damage and costing 15 stamina. Flintfang is stunned for 1 turn.

Starlingflare gasped as the breath was pushed from him when Flintfang collided with him. It was surprising. He didn't expect that the training would start right away but that was on him for not expecting strange things from the strange tom. The move he preformed.. that was new. He wanted to know how that worked. He needed to know. He staggered backwards, trying to recover for a moment, but it seemed Appledapple was already on top of the whole thing. Good, they could work together to overcome their opponent.

Starlingflare is no longer stunned!
