Enjoying The Weather (TC onleh)

Sunset strolled into Fourtrees, her paws sinking deep into the snow. She looked up at the gray morning sky, and a small snow flake landed on her nose. It melted quickly, and she smiled. The snow had felt good. She'd previously spent many hot, cramped days in camp, watching over Rainkit and Beechkit so they wouldn't fight. Sunset stretched, letting many ice crystals melt into her fur. It was very close to leafbare, she could tell, because the trees and bushes had been stripped bare. The sound of prey was light and faint, the last of it storing up food to go sleep in their warm dens.She leaped upon the great rock, almost slipping due to the ice sheets on it. Peering out, she saw the trees and bushes whisping around in the soft breeze. The winds were whispering, whispering of hardships and trouble to come. She shrugged off thoughts of Darshadow lurking about, and sat down. The rock was cold, but eventually warmed up. The sun climbed high in the air, her pelt glimering in the rays of the sun. She thought about her apprentice, who had not been around lately. She seethed with jelousy as she thought of the rest of the apprentices, taking Deadfrost in their favor. Of course they would, She thought, obviously since he is training them, they would prefer him. But... I just wish it could be the same with me... It's as if they forgot me! Atleast Featherfall and Sapphire havn't. She sighed. It seemed like only two cats n the entire forest knew her. Brambleflame was never around, and all the commotion Deadfrost stirred up was drawing the attention to him instead.

OCC: THis should be interesting XD

IC: Deadfrost spotted Sunset at Fourtrees and buried his kills. "Hello, Sunset," he greeted her. He sat down a couple of mouse-lengths from her. "Rainkit managing with Beechkit? I'm sorry you've been in camp for some time, I've just given Rainkit a talk about his fighting, and he can manage alone now."

"That's good."
She nodded.
"What brings you here?"

Deadfrost shrugged and flexed his claws, which were sore from being in the bitter cold. "I was just hunting, and I saw you here. I sometimes come here when I'm troubled..." He shut his mouth.

She looked knowingly.
"Same here."
SHe looked at a tree, staring at nothing there.
"I come here many times... but I havn't seen the cat I've been looking for."

Deadfrost seemed to understand. "I think I know who." He drew his tongue over a cold paw. "Aside from that, have you ever met a StarClan cat?" he asked.

She scraped the rock with her claws.
"No, but I've heard them."

Deadfrost twitched an ear to get a large snowflake off. "Oh, because I...well...I met Rosethorn," he confessed.

"Rosethorn?"
She asked. She shook her head. This was obviously private information for Deadfrost, not her.
"I'm probably going to meet one soon."
SHe whispered in despare.

Deadfrost nodded. "I think everyone will in their life. What I'm trying to say is...she said something strange to me, I've asked a couple of cats, even one medicine cat, and they don't know what it means!" His voice was tinged with confusion.

"I'm not surprised."
She said unhappily.
"StarClan doesn't work through me, so i wouldn't know. Extroidinary things always happen around me, but never to me. It's obvious why I hadn't died when the dogs attacked me. They didn't even want me."

Deadfrost frowned. "That's not true." He rested his tai-tip on her shoulder. "Everyone is special in their own way. Look at you! You survived fighting Darkshadow, you pulled through the battle with the dogs, those are amazing things, Sunset. You have to look deeper into yourself."

OOC: Darkshadow? You mean Deathheart? Remember that Darkeh is still lurkin about!

OOC: She sighed.
"My siblings died. My mother is ill. Featherfall may be tempted by Darkshadow. Sandpaw hardly comes out anymore. It gets harder and harder to hunt. I'm just not cabable of doing any more. I feel like a helpless elder."

"Your not, though. I've felt like that too, and I'm just as worried about Featherfall as you are. I'm also worried about Rainkit, because he is very curios and might hear things he's not supposed to.." He shifted. "Let's not forget about Deathheart, either. He's bound to strike again someday, and he will go for the things we love most..." Deadfrost unsheathed his claws. "Every day I am alert."

"Me too."
She admitted.
"But yet I find nothing. No whispers from StarClan. No omens of Deathheart."
