Dreamykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Bloodstrike leaped up onto the tree and climbed his way easily onto the Tallbranch. The massive tom sat down comfortably on it and looked down on the camp early that morning. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the Tallbranch for a clan meeting!" He called out, then waited patiently for his clan to arrive. Another apprentice ceremony... this time for Dreamykit. As soon as his eyes would find both the kit as well as her intended mentor, Bloodstrike would begin. He hoped the chill in the air wouldn't be too much for the new apprentice, but starting training in leaf-fall and leaf-bare was always rough. She'd have to get used to it, as there wasn't exactly much the deputy could do about the seasons.

As the small kit wandered around the camp, she heard that a clan meeting had been called. She wondered who or what it was for, whilst trotting over to the Tallbranch. Oh! A meeting. I hope it's for a warrior! Warrior names are so cool. She thought to herself while crowding with the clan. As she waited for most of the clan to come over, she needed to do something, so she would spot a feline and try to think of the name the cat owned. Well, the one on the branch is Blood...struck? No, wait, it's strike! She continued playing her little game until something exciting happened.

Bloodstrike watched the clan gather and spotted Dreamykit as well as her mentor. He'd waited a reasonable amount of time before speaking to the clan. "Skyclan gains a new apprentice today. Dreamykit, step forward. You have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to become an apprentice. From today until the day you earn you warrior name, you will be called Dreamypaw. Your mentor will be Spottedfrog. She is an intelligent and dedicated warrior. She will train you well."

And with that, the meeting was concluded. The deputy jumped down from the Tallbranch and nodded his congratulations to the new apprentice. He'd give her and her mentor time to get acquainted.
