Jasminepaw ran as fast as her legs could carry her. Her plan had been to just run to fourtrees and rest there until she figured out where to go. But she'd barely passed the fallen oak when she heard the snarl from the fox. She'd scampered up the closest tree immediately, but not before receiving a nasty chomp on her tail. Reaching her claw down to the branch directly underneath hers, she chipped away at the wood, while the fox snapped at her from below.

The branch she was clawing away at was thin, and not very sturdy. with her hindlegs and other forepaw gripping the branch she was crouched on as tightly as possible, the thin branch underneath her fell, hitting the fox squarely on the head. Using the opportunity to leap upon the stunned beast jasminepaw unsheathed her claws and jumped, landing directly on the fox's shoulders.

The fox and her wrangled for a moment, until one of her claws, which was going for an ear, hit an eye, and the fox howled in pain. Jasminepaw nearly froze in fear, but adrenaline caused her to bolt in a random direction. She could hear the fox behind her, and her wounds ached, particularly the bite on her tail and a wound from where it had snapped at her shoulder. When she saw the thunderpath ahead of her she didn't think, only ran, narrowly avoiding being squashed by a monster. If she'd been listening instead of merely running, she would've heard the sound of the fox's agonized scream, but blood was pumping in her ears. Sshe could barely hear herself breathe.

So she kept running. and running. and running. Until the adrenaline boost wore out and her legs gave out. Panting, she realized with dread that she was in ShadowClan territory, based on the scent and all the pine trees. Oh no.

The tabby she-cat's heart was practically pounding out of her chest, and she looked around with frightened eyes. Now that the adrenaline was gone, she felt to the fullest extent how painful the wounds were. I'm in the middle of ShadowClan territory, injured, and i don't even know if the fox followed me. What am i going to do?

Flintstar's eyes were narrowed as he padded through the marsh, ears perked for any noise and mouth open as he tasted the air. He and Mistyfalcon were out on the border for one reason - and that was to hunt down the rogues. He was growing tired of their presence - of injured and dead cats. Did Vea truly think this would lead them to give her Batglow? ...No, all she was going to get was herself killed as the leader's temper was growing remarkable short. But, annoyingly...There was no sense of any of the rogues. A huff escape him as he gave a shake of his head before a rich smell hit him and caused him to freeze.

Blood.

He raised a tail to motion Mistyfalcon to stop, tasting the air to confirm the smell. "Scent of blood in the air and its fresh," he meowed as he scanned the area around them and started to prowl forward. "With me," he ordered as he quietly slipped through the mud, tracking the scent as he slowly started to pick up more details. There was no scent of rogues, bare traces of a fox...And SkyClan? His eyes narrowed as he picked up the pace a little at that. What was SkyClan doing in the middle of his territory. Then, he spotted her - the injured apprentice looking terrified. "Injured SkyClan cat, fox's work by the smell of it," he reported to his companion before he stepped forward, pulling himself to his full height as he walked up to the injured apprentice.

He had many questions, but he also knew that she needed help. ...A heavy huff escaped him as he glanced over his shoulder. "We ought to get her back to camp, but perhaps she will be willing to answer questions on the way there," he meowed as he turned back to look at her, leaning forward as he loomed over the apprentice. "Such as, what is your name?"

OOC: KjSage will also be joining the topic with Mistyfalcon simply because ShadowClan cats are not allowed to be alone in the territory and Flint would of course respect his own rule~

Mistyfalcon prowled silently after Flintstar as they made their way through Shadowclan territory. His ears were swiveling back and forth, his jaws slightly parted as he sought any signs of the pests that had been wreaking havoc recently. He wanted them gone, or dead. And he was beginning to think that dead was preferable, at least then they couldn't harm his clanmates, his family. And they weren't laying a paw on Batglow, not if Mistyfalcon could help it.

Usually he enjoyed patrolling with Flintstar, there was little need for conversation or painful small talk, and Mistyfalcon was happy in the silence. Today however, that silence was fraught with tension.

He stopped as Flintstar did, lips curling as he caught the scent of blood, tattered ears flicking at his leader's words. "Skyclan, of course." he grumbled in response, "Fled the fox straight into our territory?" He guessed. Though at the moment Shadowclan territory wasn't any safer for someone fleeing a predator. The marsh was treacherous to those who didn't know it on a good day, and they had rogues. Unfriendly, crazed, obsessive rogues.

He fell silent as he followed Flintstar, taking in the sight of the bloody tabby before him, tail lashing back and forth at the scent of fox that still lingered, probably from the contact this she-cat had had with it.

"We'll get you to a medicine cat," Mistyfalcon didn't do reassurance well, and that was all he'd offer. Dark eyes scanned the surrounding area, keeping an eye out not just for the fox, but also the rogues paging the territory. He wouldn't put it past them to pick on what they thought would be easy prey.

As her luck would have it, it would be Flintstar, the leader of ShadowClan, who would find her in the middle of his territory. "I-I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to, I swear! The fox was going to kill me, i didn't have a choice!" She mewed desperately, hoping her words would calm down the two ShadowClan cats who had to be furio– wait, what?

"M-medicine cat..? Camp?" The confusion was evident in Jasminepaw's voice, and she blinked twice as if trying to make sense of this all. Ok.. So here she was, in the middle of ShadowClan territory, injured, with the leader and a warrior of ShadowClan, who weren't angry with her? And instead... Were worried about her? And they were bringing her back to their own camp, willing to use their herbs on her? This didn't make any sense at all.

"What..? N-name? Oh, it's uhm Jasminepaw.." The brown tabby apprentice murmured, shrinking slightly at the large size of the ShadowClan leader. Great Starclan, he was as big as Bloodstrike. "I'm, uh, fine really! It's just a-" a quick attempt to stand only for sharp pain to run up her side quickly proved her previous statement false. "...yeah, okay, thank you.."

Great StarClan, this was the last thing jasminepaw had been expecting to happen.

Flintstar flickered an ear as the apprentice seemed taken aback by everything, but did give her name as Jasminepaw. Hm. He leaned down to grab her by the scruff when it was clear she couldn't walk on her own, placing her over his back before he flickered a tail at Mistyfalcon to follow as he started the trek back to the camp. "For trying to escape certain death with the fox, you picked one of the worst territories to wander into, Jasminepaw," he mused as he glanced over his shoulder to look at her. "You are lucky - you could have wandered into the deep marsh and be lost beneath the mud or be found by the rogues that have been a thorn in our side recently. As such, until you are fully healed, it would best you remain in our camp - even trying to take you home can be risky with the rogues about. I can speak with Wolfstar about your status once we know how long you will be expected to remain with us."
