Hit the Lights [Quaildock]

With Beecloud's message, came the need to pass it on to others who partook in this game of subterfuge. Mistyfalcon stalked purposefully along the Thunderclan border today, a reluctant guard trailing him. It seemed as though the Shadowclanner had taken it upon himself to beat back the cats that seemed to be a constant presence on their borders these days. Maybe he was taking out his frustrations at Murkystrike's disappearance on those who had done nothing wrong. At least, that's how it would appear to the uninitiated. Fine by Mistyfalcon, really.

Nose wrinkling in contempt as he spotted a figure moving through the undergrowth on the other side of the thunderpath, Mistyfalcon paused, making sure that no monsters were approaching from either direction. The thunderpath was usually quiet at the time of day and today seemed to be no exception. With a hiss, he darted across the path, allowing the instinctual fear of being caught out in the open by a monster to hasten his pawsteps.

He stormed towards the Thunderclanner now, ears pinning back.

"You Thunderclanners sneak around our border, more numerous than mice. I don't know why I have to keep running you off." He snarled, striking out at the Thunderclanner from the shadows.

Quaildock was, caught off guard, to say the least. He had been hunting around, not just for prey, but for other members of the mousehunt. When suddenly he got ambushed by a Shadowclan cat. And for a moment he didn't fight back. Instead, he focused on the Shadowclanner's words.


The way the Shadowclan tom said mice, ticked off something in Quaildock's brain. He knew many cats used mice as an expression but... does the Shadowclanner know, of any other cats? Any other cats in his clan, whom were apart of the mousehunt? Only one way to find out. Quaildock thought, before raking at the Shadowclanner's belly with his hind claws, before jumping up. "Mice eh? What other mice have you have seen from Thunderclan?" He asked, putting extra emphasis on the word mice.

The other tom responded in kind, with the same emphasis on the word 'mice' that Mistyfalcon had used. So he was one of them, then. That was good.

"My name is Mistyfalcon. I ran into ...a very large mouse the other day, and he came bearing a message from the stars."Mistyfalcon's voice was a low whisper, sheathed paws flashing lightly towards the other tom's head. Not hard enough to do actual damage, but enough to certainly look the part.

"It is time to cut off the head of the snake, and the viper's den is where the stars shine brightest." His voice dropped further, "In a quarter moon we meet on the Thunderpath and make our way to fourtrees."

Quaildock listened intensly. A large mouse huh? So one of his more larger and musclular clanmates. Quaildock. "Got it!" He whispered, before striking the tom on his shoulder.

"There's more that you should know." He began, a grimace flashing across his features. Pain at his blows for the sake of their companions watching from a distance? "Do not react, do not give them any suspicion that you know."

"If you need even more of a reason to hate our wonderful companions... The missing kits? They never left the forest, nor were they taken by predators. They were taken by Asylum, trained and used against us." As he spoke, he lashed out again with a forepaw. Hoping that whatever reaction the Thunderclanner did have could be easily explained away by their fighting. Hoping that he wouldn't do anything rash.
