Pigeonkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let every cat old enough to run the moors gather for a clan meeting." The old she-cat croaked the call just loud enough for those around to hear. She sought out the intended apprentice and called out, "Pigeonkit, step forward. You have reached six moons and are ready to begin warrior training. From this day forward, you will be known as Pigeonpaw. Zinnia will be your mentor." With a nod towards the warrior, she ended the meeting, and left the clan to welcome their new apprentice.

Pigeonpaw looked up in surprise as her name was called. She hurried to the front of the crowd, breaking into a huge grin as she realized what was happening. I'm an apprentice now! I can finally leave the camp and explore! The grey she-cat scanned the crowd for Zinnia, waiting impatiently for her new mentor to step forward.
