Eos shivered beneath the white rabbit pelt she wore, carefully making her way through the territory as she followed the large silver tabby warrior at a respectful distance. She knew that the warrior wasn't thrilled about her presence, but it couldn't be helped. Hopefully soon they wouldn't have to babysit the clans, but that depended on the clans themselves.
The slender tortoiseshell was content with silence for the moment, though truly she would have enjoyed a civil conversation. She recognized however that to push any of the warriors would only drive them further from the Asylum's goal of unification, so she remained silent. The warrior could choose if she wanted to talk, or not.

Wisteriabloom paid no attention to the pelt-wearing cat behind her as she set off. She didn't particularly enjoy hunting without a clanmate with her, since fishing could sometimes be boring and require conversation. And she would much rather talk with a cat she trusted, like Streamtail or Shrikefrost. As they walked, she kept her head held high, taking large strides as to get there sooner. Once she had found a sizeable stream, she sat beside it and peered in, being careful not to cast her large shadow over the still water. A thin layer of ice covered the surface of the water in some areas, but the main body of the river remained unfrozen.
She didn't know what overcame her then, but she was bored enough already to yearn for conversation. "You know, I wouldn't be as opposed to you if you truly posed no threat. But as long as my kits are safe, you can do what you want. But-" She drew herself up to her full height, fluffing out her fur to make her look massive, "If you lay a claw on my children, it'll be the last thing you do." She realised afterward that that had been a little unnecessarily aggressive, so she added in a slightly softer tone, but it still held a faint hint of aggression with it that she didn't bother to hide. "Do you have any kits of your own? What would you do if their lives were threatened every day?"
There. That was something to make her think. In the short space of silence that followed, Wisteriabloom cautiously dipped her paw into the freezing river. It didn't take long for a small fish to flitter past her extended claw, and she flicked her paw upwards. The little fish landed on the large rock beside her, but she wasn't the only one who wanted it. A small head extended out of the stream, its jaws open to snap up the fish. Wisteriabloom held her paw defensively in front of her catch, but the turtle just went for that instead. As its jaws locked around her paw, she had on thought that spurred her fighting. Applefang. Streamtail's mate, who had been killed by snapping turtles. It was in a way good that she had heard the tale, as otherwise she would believe the small creatures posed no threat.
"Help!" She said, but it was more of a command than a plea. She slashed out at the turtle's face with her free forepaw, but there was only so much she could do with one of her paw out of action for the moment.

"I had a litter recently... It is... Harder than I expected to be away from them this long." Eos murmured at the question, soft eyes watching the she-cat as she sat near the water's edge. She wasn't particularly close with her kits, nor could she afford to be, but she understood a mother's protectiveness.
"Asylum took over the lands I came from when I was younger than most of your apprentices. It was... a peaceful transition, my kin weren't fighters. Asylum brought in prey and herbs, sickness and infection rates plummeted, and we suddenly had more fresh-kill than we knew what to do with even with the extra mouths. Most of us truly do want peace, you know." The nightstrikers were generally a vicious lot and enjoyed violence more than most, but Eos was a scout. She genuinely believed that the takeover could've been done in a different way, a way that wouldn't incite violence the second the clan cats thought they had a chance.
"Watch out!" Eos called out in warning as she saw the shape of the turtle moving towards Wisteriabloom, and moved quickly to the she-cat's side, turning and slamming her hind paws at the turtle's face. It wasn't quite enough to dislodge the foul thing from Wisteriabloom's paw, but it had done damage at the very least.
Eos used Back Kick on turtle for -15sp, dealing -15 damage.

Wisteriabloom's eyes raised slightly in surprise when she learned of Eos' litter. Really? I didn't see her in the nursery, does that mean Asylum have their own camp? It made sense that they had somewhere to go, but she hadn't considered it before. She listened to the other she-cat as she explained her past. Maybe they aren't all as bad as they seem. It probably just depended on the cat, since ones of Eos' rank were usually a lot less hostile. But still, if any of them posed any threat to her kits, she would forget everything that had happened today. But before she could say anything in response, they were distracted by the turtle.
Eos' kick certainly seemed to loosen the shelled creature's grip on her, and with one more slash of Wisteriabloom's free forepaw, she dislodged it. The tooth marks in her paw went pretty deep, so she took a few seconds to dip it in the river. She was no medicine cat, but she hoped that the freezing water would clean the blood and numb the pain a little. After the quick dip, she whipped around and faced her attacker, snarling as she waited for it to make another move.

Shoving off with her hind-paws, Eos spun on the turtle, claws flashing out towards the beasts' underside. The shell made leaping onto the turtle's back pointless, so the scout focused on what would actually harm the thing. She was eyeing the turtle's neck as well, looking for an opening to sink her fangs into it. One bite wouldn't kill the thing, of course, but controlling the head would prevent it from doing any real damage to either herself or Wisteriabloom.
Eos used Half-Turn Belly Rake on turtle for -20sp, dealing -15 damage.

Wisteriabloom's technique of trying to numb the pain of her paw in the river seemed to have worked. She couldn't feel it, which was good in some ways but it also made her fighting a little clumsy. With the turtle flipped over onto its back, the tabby warrior took the chance to slash at it as well, hoping to avoid another painful bite.
Wisteriabloom used Rear-up to Slash on Turtle, costing 15 SP and dealing 14 damage

Eos spared a brief glance at the Riverclanner she found herself fighting beside, noting the injury to her paw. She seemed to be trying to push through the pain, something that was admirable. The warrior would need to get it looked at sooner rather than later, but right now their first priority was dealing with the turtle. They were dangerous creatures, and Eos would be happy to make this one a non-issue.
Seeing an opening, she lunged forward, teeth gripping the back of the turtle's neck. Her grip would prevent it from biting, and would prevent it from withdrawing into the safety of it's shell. Grip firm, the scout slashed at the turtle with her front paws, intending to do as much damage as she could.
Eos used Teeth Grip on turtle for -20sp, dealing 12 damage. Turtle can't attack, for THREE turns.

Wisteriabloom gave a small nod of approval at Eos' idea of a teeth grip. The calico she-cat had a very firm hold on the turtle, enough to avoid future bites or attempted escapes. With their opponent distracted, she managed to slip under it and rake at its vulnerable belly. It would be no use to try and do this to the turtle's topside, as even the sharpest of claws wouldn't be able to break through the hard shell.

Wisteriabloom proved to be resourceful, raking at the turtle's belly while it couldn't break free of Eos' grip. She was injured, but the determination she showed was quickly winning over the scout's respect for the warrior.
Eos continued to grip the turtle by the neck, slashing at it with front claws continuously. It was starting to weaken, though was attempting to thrash its' way out of her grip. It wasn't quite there yet, but Eos knew she wouldn't be holding onto the beast forever, either.
Eos continued using Teeth Grip on turtle. 2/3 turns.

Wisteriabloom could tell that Eos' grip was loosening on the shelled creature, and so the tabby warrior took the opportunity to do some real damage to the turtle. She reared up on her hind legs and brought her large forepaws crashing down on the its head, aided greatly by her team-mate's hold. "I think it's nearly done!" The turtle had certainly put up a fight against the two well-trained cats, but it could only last so long. Much to her surprise, she could feel a growing respect for the rouge. She was certainly skilled, that was for sure.

The turtle thrashed weakly still, but it was enough to finally dislodge Eos' grip. Her Riverclan partner had thankfully landed another solid blow with her claws. The pelt-clad scout backed off to catch her breath, determined to also avoid the turtle's jaws should they come snapping her way, and gave the warrior a grim nod.
"Finish this, quickly." She panted. She would've kept her grip on the turtle long if she could've. Better to end this one rather than let the turtle crawl off to lick its' wounds, however.

It was nearly over. Wisteriabloom gratefully nodded as Eos released her grip and backed off. The last blow was hers to deal out. Turtle still focussed on the retreating Scout, it gave her the chance to kick it hard. The odd angle that the force hit it caused its neck to break, killing it. Luckily the two cats had got away with only the one wound. Tired, but glad the fight was over, Wisteriabloom cautiously approached the dead turtle. "Can you eat these things? I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to bring it back to camp."
"Hey, Eos?" She addressed the pelt-wearing calico, "You fight well. For a rouge." Letting out a small laugh so her patrolmate knew it was all in good spirit, she continued to inspect the fallen turtle.

"Well fought, Riverclanner." Eos regarded the warrior and fallen turtle, hints of genuine respect in her tone as she studied the tabby.
"I... have no clue." She muttered in response to the question, lips curving in a faint smirk. "I wonder if something could be made of the shell, though." Eos lifted a paw, tapping the shell curiously with a forepaw. It was sturdy and essentially impenetrable to cat claws, she knew. Protection like that could be useful.
"How's the paw?" Eos returned her gaze to Wisteriabloom. She'd taken a nasty bite, though it was fortunately the only wound either of them had sustained in the fight. Eos wasn't sure the severity of it, but it had certainly hurt.
