Bad Luck (closed, solo)

It seemed WindClan was ill-fated to forever encounter geese.

You see, it had all started earlier that morning...

Downtuft stretched, yawning as blinked sleepily. He was in a decent mood, until he remembered the unwelcome guests in the camp. Setting off with Cow and Hershey, as he had no choice in the matter, Downtuft simply went to catch rabbits.

And catch rabbits he did! Until he more or less caught a goose... The goose was not pleased, to say the least. Thankfully Downtuft reacted quickly, pinning it down as it desperately tried to chomp him.

Downtuft kept the goose pinned, hissing, as the beast struggled beneath him.

Shaking the goose around like a feather, Downtuft was finally flung off as the Goose dislodged him with a heave.

The goose made a fatal error when it fought back. Slamming his paws down as hard as possible onto the bird's head, Downtuft was relieved to hear the quiet "craaackk". The goose lay dead, pretty gray and white feather now bloodstained. "I guess we should head back now, huh?" Downtuft shrugged.

Overall, not the worst day ever, but certainly not the best.

However, before he got back, Softbreeze ran towards him in a panic. "Are you alright, did you get hurt? I saw you deal a death blow to that goose; I also saw it throw you. Oh! Down! You're bleeding!" Although he insisted it was nothing, his sister was stubborn and he knew better than to fight her on it. With a sigh, he complied with her orders to sit as she quickly gathered cobwebs to staunch the bleeding.

All patched up, they then set off back to WindClan, the Medicine cat keeping a careful eye on her newest patient.
