Drifting through the days

Driftingpaw was stretched out along the edge of camp, his body tucked away in the shadows with only his white toes poking out into the sun. The young white pelted tom heaved a sigh, having not been feeling himself lately he had lacked in his training, falling behind his friends and watching them become warriors while he stayed in the shadows. He missed Poppybloom, but she had been so busy lately he had hardly seen her. He debated getting up to find Honeytongue, he should get up to find his mentor, properly apologize for being a shotty apprentice and promise her he will do better. His blue eyes scanned the camp, watching as other apprentices sparred and kits scampered about. Warriors walked in and out of camp, some carrying prey while others carried the scents of other Clans on their pelt from their time along the borders. The young tom gave his scruff a shake as he settled his head on his paws, feeling sleep tug at him as his eyes began to droop and he nearly started to doze off.
