Keeping An Eye Out [solo hunt]

Ever since news of the SkyClan fire reached WindClan, Olivestone had kept an eye out for the missing Clan, her wandering taking her towards the gorge a lot, her gaze being drawn towards the still-smoking, jumble of charred wood that used to be SkyClan's once-tall pine forest, burnt logs and charred trees still reaching tall into the sky. She found herself worrying a bit for the other Clan, hoping that they were okay and that everyone got out safely. With that thought, she glanced over to ThunderClan, who had thankfully been spared from the fire. She thought of Foxfire, who had been staying with ThunderClan, and hoped that he'd be able to find his Clan and that they'd be able to return tot heir home soon.

So, she'd kept an eye out, looking for news to pass on, but more importantly, she had prey to catch.

The deputy loped along the border, not dedicating her energy to a full sprint, keeping an eye out for prey or anything otherwise interesting. Before long, she spotted a lone pair or rabbits grazing on the next hill, and she immediately crouched, took note of the wind direction, and positioned herself to where the wind was blowing towards her. Using the tall grass and clumps of heather as camouflage to shield her approach, she slowly made her way closer, and burst out of the grass when she was close enough.

Olivestone has attempted to hunt a rabbit. She was successful.

The hunt proved to be no effort whatsoever, and as Olivestone stopped, she saw the other rabbit flash by. Dropping the freshly-killed rabbit, she took off again, chasing down the other rabbit in the pair. It had gained some ground on her, but seasons of practice and training had honed her skills and strength, and she knew that she could catch up to the rabbit.

With a last burst of energy, Olivestone finally overtook the second rabbit, and triumphantly held her head high for a moment as the prey laid at her feet. Taking a moment to thank StarClan for the prey, she grabbed the second rabbit and brought it back to the first, and began to carry them both back home for the Clan.
