Lilacpaws Border Patrol

"We are going to the border Lilacpaw. Try not to run into any tree before we get there." Midnightpelt said.

Lilacpaw looked up at her mentor and giggled. Then took off bouncing into the forest. " Come on!"
The excited apprentice mewed, her tail held high.

Ghostpaw pounced after her. "Wait up!" she laughed.

Midnightpelt sighed and ran after them, she didnt need them two crossing the border..

Lilacpaw froze, skidding to a stop. She heard a large rumble and the smell of something dreafull. She crinkled up her nose, but walked closer to the smell. Slowly it appeared, large and smelly. Huge monsters ran across it in a hurry, that could easily kill even the biggest of warriors.

Stepping back slowly Lilacpaw went back into the dark shade of the piney forest. Her heart was pounding. For once she felt scared. She blinked and ran back to her mentor with a bewildered look on her face.

Midnightpelt looked at her, "I can see you found the ThunderPath." she commented, "This is one of our borders. Never cross it, for the monster that travel on it can kill you and because past this, is other clan territory."

Lilacpaw gasped, she had heard many, many stories of Thunderpath. She slowly took in what her mentor said before speaking.
"Doesn't Thunderclan lay on the otherside?"
She small apprentince asked, remembering the stories that rumbled through the elders.

Midnightpelt nodded. She continued walking towards the Thunder Path.

Lilacpaw followed behind, her tail close to her feet. She didn't dare run ahead this time!

Midnightpelt stopped. "To mark our border," she said, then marked the invisible line marking Shadowclan territory, "You must do that."

Lilacpaw nodded then did what her mentor told her and marked the border. She seemed a little out of her bubbly character since she had been scared out of her wit! "What next?" She asked tilting her head to the side.

"We do that to the rest of our borders and then head back to camp. We should also look for intruders." Midnightpelt said.

Lilacpaw nodded and walked swiflty behind her mentor. Her head was held high, her tail swayed to the beat of her steps.

Together, Midnightpelt, Lilacpaw, Ghostpaw, and whoever was with them, circled Shadowclan teritory, marking the boreder.

Suddenly, with the group was far away from Thunder Path the kit got her nerve back. "Midnightpelt? Can I meet a Thunderclan cat?" She asked looking up at her mentor.
