Freyja saw his lips curl back, his shift in posture. When he moved to pin her, she went with it. Let him get the edge up. This wasn’t a battle she had to win. Still, her ears pinned back.
"So quick to judge a cat by a single conversation.” She chastised, then tilted her head up a bit, to let the tom get a good look at her large fangs that extended down to her chin.

A warning, clear and dangerous. Then, it was over. She twisted in his grasp. Kicked out against his belly to get herself free, hazel eyes stared intently at the tom before her.

Bloodstrike took note of her fangs, but she kicked him off before he could do much more than that. A useful tool in killing for sure... if she could hit her mark. Bloodstrike wasn't going to just let her do that. As she brought herself out of her roll to stand to her feet, Bloodstrike was already moving again, his claws outstretched toward her face to rend her flesh from her skull. Maybe some scarring would remind her not to be so cocky the next time she ran into a clan cat. He didn't know i he would manage it or not, but he would certainly try. He was ready to end this and be done talking, at least until he had her pinned again. She wasn't winning today unless she pulled something truly amazing out of her fur, and he doubted she was capable of doing that.

It was her own fault for allowing him to get so close to begin with and for not striking first.

When he went high, she went low. Ducked the rending claws and made a quick swipe at his tendon when she passed. There was no sense in continuing this bout. The tom’s claws were a fierce weapon indeed, but more importantly, she had seen what she wanted to.

A demonstration of skill. Even if it was, perhaps, a bit more barbaric than she had anticipated. Truly, these forest cats were brutes. She stopped several tail lengths away from Bloodstrike. Far enough, that he would not be able to catch her when she smirked back at him. Tail raised confidently, not afraid in the least.

"I think you’ve shown me all you have, tree cat Bloodstrike.” Her voice was calm, but there was a bit of mockery to it. "Maybe one day, you’ll take more enjoyment out of conversation, than a fight.” She smirked, her head tilted proudly as it had been at the start, before she made her way onto Riverclan territory.
