"Yes," Maplewhisker replied, "What about you?  Where you born where you belong?" She asked the loner, curiosity about the loner sparkling in Maplewhisker's eyes.

Summer chuckled and immediately shook her head. "Certainly not - although I suppose in a philosophical sense, I must have been. If I hadn't been born where I was, perhaps I wouldn't have felt such a strong pull to be anywhere else, darling," Summer answered, laughing. She waved her tail. "I don't remember where I was born by now; I left as soon as soon as I was able to. It wasn't my home; adventure is my home. Drifting is my calling. Don't you ever have a... a pull to see somewhere new?" She tilted her head.

Few of the other Clan cats had shown any interest in whatever lay beyond the borders of their respective Clans, but it seemed Maplewhisker was made of different stuff. Summer nodded, purring, "Yes, exactly!" as the WindClan cat mentioned how the same surroundings grew dull. Summer thought wistfully of some of her own adventures and eagerly of adventures to come while Maplewhisker continued speaking. At her questions, the ginger-cream drifter grinned and replied, "Why, of course, darling! I've been many places. There are all kinds of territories unlike any you've ever seen, Maplewhisker. I haven't even seen everything there is to see! So many different trees and flowers, and different birds. Different cats with different lifestyles - but the Clans are the first cats like you that I've met in my travels."
