Another Day, Another Life Saved (Open / leader & medicine cat needed)

The sun was nearly over the horizon when Sparkfire barreled through the thorn barrier. She collapsed to the ground and panted heavily. Her throat was dry with thirst, her stomach rumbled noisily with hunger, and her limbs ached with the stress of running to and from Twolegplace in one day. She had no idea how she had been able to achieve such a feat, but she had. The jingling of a Twoleg thing alerted her that the kittypet had been able to keep up, and soon enough she spotted the calico molly pushing through the thorn barrier, wincing as the thorns scraped against her soft pelt. "H-Hey, you m-managed t' ... t' keep up. I'm impressed."

The kittypet spat the herbs down in Sparkfire's pile and pushed a paw against her side, breathing hard as well. It was clear her pampered life had worked to her disadvantage as far as endurance was concerned, but she had still pulled through with the same amount of determination fostered in the ShadowClanner's spirit. "W-We're not d-done yet! Get those herbs t-to your father!..."

Right! That's what this whole journey was for. Struggling back up on her paws, Sparkfire grasped the majority of the herbs in her mouth, the kittypet following after her with the ones left behind in the clearing. The warrior pushed through the fern barrier of the medicine den as the kittypet waited just outside, and she deposited the catmint at the mouth of the cave. "W-We're ba...back.... Mothglow?"

Flintstar was curled in his nest, his eyes focused dimly on the entrance of his den. He had been fretting for his sister's safety ever since she had gone racing from the medicine cat den, quickly questioning his choice to let her go. Death was...Death was going to happen to everybody, perhaps it would have been better to accept that then try to extend Asterspark's time - perhaps it wasn't worth risking Sparkfire over. He didn't like it, judging one life's worth over another but it ate away at him as he waited. Would Sparkfire even make it back in time? Would her attempt even be worth it...?

His ears perked at the sound of rushed pawsteps, followed by a...Strange noise. It was something he hadn't heard before but it set his fur rising as he pushed himself onto his paws in a swift motion and shouldered his way from his den. His eyes scanned the clearing, hearing voices...And seeing his sister's tail disappear into the medicine cat den. She had made it back! He took a couple steps toward the den before his eyes fell onto the she-cat waiting outside...Somebody he did not recognize. He blinked, staring at the strange thing around her neck. It had to be a collar. It was a kittypet.

...Sparkfire had brought a kittypet back with her. Hm. Seeing Asterspark could wait, it would be better go give Mothglow room to work... He made his way toward the unknown she-cat, his expression as cold as ever as he studied her. "And...Who might you be?" he questioned, tail swishing behind him. She certainly smelled strange, mixed with the scent of catmint. "I imagine Sparkfire brought you back with her but...I do hope you do not plan to stay," he added, twitching an ear. With the threat of the stars on his back, he wouldn't risk the wrath of allowing in a kittypet. Kits were one thing, but a full-grown cat was out of the question - no matter the reason Sparkfire had chosen to allow her into the camp. He however remained relax, doing his best not to seem threatening although he knew he always had that air around him anyways - the kittypet was of no threat to him. He imagined he could pin her down with a single paw if she tried anything.

The kittypet's ears twitched in the direction of the strange tom that approached her. She turned to look at him and fixed his cold gaze with a neutral stare of her own as she let him speak. At his assumption, her heterochromic eyes widened, and she placed the catmint leaves down to respond, "What? What are you talking about, why would I want to leave my Twolegs? No, I just wanted to help your friend. Uh...." She narrowed her eyes slightly as she studied the tom. He looked quite a bit like the cat she had just helped. "I'm going to assume you're not her father. You look fine and well. What is your name? My name is Angel." She dipped her head to the tom.
