Oakstar growled as he took the hit from the apprentice and Asterstrike. Seeing an apprentice so filled with bloodlust saddened him. It wasn’t right. Apprentices has no place in war. He growled, brought his paws up and slammed them down on Asterstrike’s head. His gaze lifted to Salamanderpaw. "go home, apprentice." His gaze lowered to the form of Asterstrike beneath his paws. "When your head is clear of this nonsense, think about what I said."

Asterstrike grunted in defeat at the final blow, and all the strength left in his body evaporated away. He trembled in an injured heap on the ground, moaning softly. He had failed his Clan. He wasn't strong enough, and he failed. The only thing he could do now was retreat.

No. First, he had to find his brother.

"Y-You should go, kit, it's not safe 'nymore," he grunted to Salamanderpaw, trying to rise himself up to his paws. He looked out into the battlefield, straining to clear his foggy vision and find his brother's russet pelt amidst the chaos. "P-Poppyheart.... Bro, where a-are ya?..."

Beanpaw growled as he was taken out from the side, wincing as he got to his paws to look around. His attacker was already gone, moved on to another opponent in the time it took for him to recover. Shaking out his fur, he looked around at the chaos, surveying what had happened. Finally, he laid eyes on Sunflower, who had ironically just defeated his own opponent. That was something Beanpaw certainly hadn’t been expecting. His next move however, shocked him even more. His gaze shifted towards Leaftwirl as Sunflower buried his muzzle in her fur. Fire burned behind his gaze as he ran towards Sunflower, skidding to a halt in front of the lanky tom. ”Sunflower, go! You won’t do her any good standing there, you can still fight! Go get back out there, I’ll take care of Leaftwirl! Your Clanmates need you now.” Gently taking hold of Leaftwirl’s scruff, he began carrying her towards the edge of the chaos, where she could finally get her peace.

Ferretnose grunted as the tom sliced into her face. Blood blurred her good eye's vision as a claw caught her cheek and she shook her head violently. She hissed as tears mixed with the stinging blood, desperately trying to eject it from her eye. It was no use. Her strength had run out. Ferretnose yowled loudly, alerting her clanmates as well as SkyClan to her hour of need as she smashed her paws down on Lynxscar's head. She panted as she shoved him aside. "Go run home to your mother, tom-kit."

Turning her head to face her new opponent, her sides heaved. "Win or lose, do or die... my ancestors smile on me tonight," she warned in a genuine display of pity for this horrified creature before her. "Can you say the same?" Clamping her jaws shut, she braced herself. We're coming home, Harefoot. I love you so much.

Ferretnose used Upright Lock, costing 25 stamina and dealing 16 damage. Lynxscar can no longer fight.

Marshcloud continued to struggled against Dustcloud's grip, swinging his paws around both to try and land another blow and in the hopes that the movement would help detach him. He could feel her grip loosen as she struck him with her hind legs. He managed to land another paw strike against her, and using the momentum of the blow started to shake himself loose.

Marshcloud used Front Paw Strike, dealing 8 + 2 damage, and costing 10 stamina. Marshcloud will be ungripped next turn

When the ShadowClan tom finally tore himself from her grip, Dustcloud turned around quickly to face him once again. She act quickly- cats were falling left and right, and she knew both her Clanmates and her allies could use her help in that moment. ”I’m s-so sorry...” She muttered before bringing her paws up and forcing them down on the tom’s head.

Thornstar's lashing and flailing proved difficult to get past. Frustrated with the mass of paws and claws striking all around him, Spottedstar reared back and brought his forepaws down hard on Thornstar's side and chest, stripping away as much fur and flesh as he could manage.

Lightpaw glanced at the fallen Poppyheart. So soft, the both of them. She clawed Beartooth’s soft underbelly once more, hoping she’d hit him enough to bring him down. She didn’t see Leaftwirl die, not noticing clanmates fall around her. She wanted to win; She had to win, dangit! This time, she didn’t try to provoke the deputy, just attacked.

He couldn't escape the fact she was smaller than him. How easily she slipped underneath and clawed at his belly was infuriating. The Thunderclan deputy simply wanted this to end. How could he defend his clan while being swatted at by some opposing clans obnoxious apprentice? As soon as she appeared, the deputy lashed out with a massive paw aiming for the side of her head with unsheathed claws.

Lightpaw was very scared, to say the least. At the attack, she jumped, hoping someone could come to help her- doubtful. No. No, she could handle him. She lashed her paws out, missing their target but still managing to stay away from the tom’s claws. She was so, so tired; she could probably only stand one more hit, whether onto her or him.

Looking around to what she might be able to do to help out, Dustcloud's eyes landed on her mate first, who seemed to be battling... and apprentice? Whatever had happened, he seemed held up with the ShadowClan tom. Getting up to her paws, she raced towards him, reaching out her and bowling into his side. Hopefully, the young apprentice would sit the rest of the battle out after such a blow.

Dustcloud used Run and Tackle, using -10 Stamina Points and dealing -13 (-3 for surprise) Health Points. Salamanderpaw is KOed.

She slipped from his paws once more, and he stumbled only once before regaining his footing. There was a menacing low growl that rumbled from his chest. The tom hadn't felt the heat of battle like this in so long. Much like when he was a younger cat, he felt instinct kick in. Whipping around, the bulky deputy lashed out with those massive claws once again. This time, they met the side of her face, tearing from below her ears towards the bridge of her nose. Blood welled up almost immediately and he flicked some of it from his paw before setting it on the ground. Beartooth only took a moment to growl before before throwing himself into the throng of cats, "Get out of here. Go back to your own territory so I can go back to mine."

Beartooth used front paw strike, dealing 14 damage and using 10 stamina. Lightpaw is no longer able to battle.

After the young tom was down, Dustcloud muttered a quick apology for the attack and moved on, noticing the short she-cat across the battlefield. She was up against a ginger and white tom, and she seemed like she could use the help... Racing to Ferretnose's side, Dustcloud reared onto her hind legs, unsheathing her claws and slashing at the tom's side.

Lightpaw staggered back, unable to react before the claws hit her and Beartooth disappeared into the night. The apprentice decided not to pursue him. She found the red pelt of Poppyheart and struggling, began to drag him back to camp. But he was so heavy, and she so tired. She dropped him and stared at him for a moment. He was older, and so soft too. If he  had any guts, maybe he'd have defeated that dumb Thunderclanner. She readied her still-unsheathed claws. A clan was only as strong as its weakest cat. Time to cut a weak link. She slashed her claws through his throat, deeply, fatal, then added another three for Beartooth's famous seven paws claws. She pulled him back towards the battle, beginning to cry- in realism it was from the pain of her wounds. But, any onlooker might think it was because of Poppyheart. She licked off the blood briefly, before sitting over Poppyheart, too tired to go on.

Lightpaw was a murderer- but it was for the good of the clan. The best clan. Shadowclan.
