Marshcloud struggled awkwardly against Dustcloud's grip while trying to ignore the pain from the fresh wounds on his shoulder and chest. With the little mobility he had in his position, he managed to swing a claw out at her, ripping at her fur. A big part of him wished he had even less ability to attack, so that he'd have an excuse to just give up, stop being a part of this. But while he could fight, he would fight, however much he hated doing so.

Marshcloud used Front Paw Strike, dealing 8 + 2 damage and costing 10 stamina. Marshcloud is gripped.

Mothglow darted forward to Salamanderpaw, focusing on the small and easily covered scratches. As she retreated once more, apologetic glance to the ThunderClan cats around them who'd been caught in the midst of things much like herself, she wondered what Silent Snows would think of all this. She'd have to ask, if she ever got the chance. For now, though, she tried to ground herself in the moment. Stay here, stay grounded, and help everyone she could. It was in everyone's best interests, after all, to end this battle quickly. Before more damage could be done.

With a grunt, Dustcloud shifted and tightened her grip on Marshcloud reluctantly. Her muscles were aching and when the tom managed a single strike, she loosened her grip just a bit and used her hind legs to claw at him, hopefully getting in a bit more damage.

Dustcloud continued to use Teeth Grip, dealing -13 Health Points. Marshcloud is gripped for another turn.

It wasn't personal. Was it? Spottedstar wasn't in a position to decide whether he tolerated or hated the she-cat in his iron grip. He only felt the thrill of blood on his tongue, the scent of fear and wounds wafting around the Highpine like incense to the silent ancestors. Releasing her scruff when he found himself getting weary, the tom pounced on her and struck out repeatedly, lashing at soft underbelly with reckless claws.

Spottedstar used Belly Rake, dealing 20 damage and using 10 stamina. Thornstar is stunned for one more turn.

Lightpaw didn't appreciate the way Beartooth was looking at her- like a fly ready to be swatted, perhaps an inconvenience? He acted so calm- such dignity was useless in her opinion. Why put in all that effort to keep your cool? What good had this done anyone? Look at him; He could use his appearance as an advantage, give the impression of an intimidating cat who could kill you without a second thought. But instead, Beartooth seemed like he almost... didn't want to fight? What a waste.

"That's right, I'm here! What are you gonna do about it, ya tree-hugging leaflitter?" She leapt to her paws and darted behind him, grabbing his tail in her teeth and jolting him with all her strength.

Lightpaw used Tail Yank, dealing (2+2) damage and using 10 stamina! Beartooth is stunned for 1 turn!

The Thunderclan deputy saw the she-cat darting for his tail. He'd experienced such a move before and hoped to avoid the pain that would slow him down. However, she was much smaller and quick. Her teeth enclosed on his tail and he let out a low hiss. The mocking words of the apprentice were lost. Beartooth cared little for insults flung from other cats, he'd heard worse from kin.

Beartooth used Lightening Reflexes, using 10 stamina. It is... unsuccessful. Beartooth is no longer stunned.

Salamander laid still as Mothglow tended to his wounds. The world still seemed to fluctuate like water ripples, but at least he could stand now. He so desperately wanted to rest, but a voice in his head screamed no. He had to help. He had to be useful. He whipped his head around, ignoring the pain, and looked for a new opponent.

A blue-gray tom caught his eye.

He was a big, scarred tom, being ravaged by none other than the Thunderclan leader, Oakstar. He looked familiar, but his pain-fogged brain couldn't exactly place where Sally saw him. Then he remembered. He was Asterstrike, a member of Stagclan back before his father's... disposal... who had abandoned his clan title after that fateful morning. He returned some time later, but the calico hadn't talked to him since then. Friend or not, he seemed to be in trouble, and Salamander wanted to offer as much support as he can.

Asterstrike snorted and snarled in absolute fury, thrashing around underneath the larger cat, glaring up at him with hatred. "My kin would never stoop so low as to kill anyone, you fox-heart!" He screeched in pain and frustration at the severe pain blasting through his belly.

All of a sudden, the leader's weight seemed to have disappeared. He looked up to see an apprentice had managed to tackle Oakstar, shoving him away. It took him a little while to recognize him as Silent Snows' kit and, by extension, his half-nephew. He grunted and lifted himself up to a stand, smiling at Salamanderpaw. "H-Heh, thanks, kit."

Asterstrike is no longer Stunned.

Surprised at the sudden fury in her opponent's voice, Sparkfire had not been prepared for him to tackle her to the ground. She snarled and squirmed underneath him, struggling to escape, her tail thumping on the ground in frustration. "You must keep your brain in your tail if you think ShadowClan murders anyone! It's you who killed our deputy!"

Sparkfire is Pinned for one turn.

Poppyheart's world spun, his head pounding powerfully, once Beartooth landed the final blow atop his head. His eyes seemed to roll within their sockets, his tongue lolling out, and he had lost all strength in his body. He collapsed to the ground with a defeated whimper, powerful pain scorching throughout his body. If only the heat of the blood covering his pelt could relieve the agony.

Oakstar cringed as the full bodied tackle came out of nowhere. He blinked and looked around only to see an apprentice facing him now with Asterstrike, who’s indignant exclamation was met with a sorrowful look.

"That’s what every cat hopes..." he sighed, eyes turned to the small apprentice. "... but no cat can ever tell exactly what another is thinking. As kits grow, they become their own warriors. We just have to hope we set them on a good path." He turned back to Asterstrike, tearing up on his hind paws to slash at the tom.

Oakstar used rearing up to strike. Night finesse is active.

"N-no... we're n-not," Sunflower squeaked as the she-cat lashed out at him, her flailing claws slicing against his sides. While it hurt, it was evident that her energy was quickly ebbing away and meeting her golden gaze, Sunflower couldn't help but feel bad for her. She was just fighting for her clan like any warrior would, and she was stuck under him, a coward who shouldn't have even made it this far.

With the sudden rush of anger beginning to ebb down, Sunflower's heart started racing once more. What... what was he doing? Holding this she-cat down... she was clearly done fighting, so what was the point?

Stepping off of her, the SkyClanner arched his bony back and gave a hiss of warning as he stepped away from his opponent."G-go!" he warned to the ShadowClanner, his long tail tucked under his rump. Great StarClan, he was going to need some good therapy with Sagelight after this battle... and maybe even a little catnip to ease the nerves...

With Sparkfire gone, Sunflower ran over to Leaftwirl's motionless pelt, weaving around numerous battling cats like a snake did through tall grass.

Skidding to a halt, his bloodstained paws sliding across the cold ground below, the warrior looked down to his former mate's lifeless body. Whoever did this to her... they were the true monster. Why had the she-cat even been here? Did she think that she was able to redeem herself by battling alongside her former clan? Well, it'd been a foolish mistake on her part, but now wasn't the time to remember how furious he'd been with her.

Lowering his muzzle, he pressed it against her neck fluff, taking in her scent once more. Oh Leaftwirl... she'd walked a broken path, but even so, he prayed that she finally found the happiness that she'd longed for all those moons.

Sparkfire softly growled at Sunflower, glaring at him angrily. However, she had lost all strength in her limbs. She was no longer able to fight, she knew it. If she tried, she would probably get herself killed. She couldn't do that to her Clan. Lashing her tail in fury, angry with herself that she had lost, she slowly scrambled up to her paws and sped away, seeking Mothglow for medical attention.

Asterspark grunted loudly at the sudden impact. His head rang and pounded, and he tried to shake it to clear it. Struggling back up to his paws, he glared angrily at the ThunderClan leader, his limbs beginning to quake beneath him. He was quickly losing strength. He wasn't going to be able to win this. But he could still fight, just a little bit more. "I'm not d-done with you yet," he panted. He reared up onto his hind paws and slashed Oakstar hard on the muzzle, but quickly lost his balance and stumbled back onto his paws.

Asterstrike used Rear-Up to Slash on Oakstar, dealing 17 damage and costing 15 stamina.

Salamander gave a quick nod to Asterstrike, feeling a light in his heart at the compliment. But now wasn’t the chance to ponder the rare moment of friendliness he just experienced. This was a battle zone. Summoning what little strength he had in his small, weakened, form, the calico raked his claws into the leader’s exposed underbelly.
