Flying Fish, Grounded Bird (Closed)

Dacekit didn't understand why her question was funny when she asked it, yet Magpiepaw laughed strangely after she asked it and so she herself giggled along with him. The kit grew a bit more still again as she listened to the black tom explain how magpies were difficult to hunt, describing the behaviors that made them tricky even for warriors. Dacekit was amazed and awed, thinking of how skilled magpies must be for warriors to not be able to find and catch them. "They're so sneaky!" she stated, and she began to spin around slowly as she gazed up at some of the trees nearest camp, wondering if perhaps she would ever see a magpie hiding in the trees.

By the time the little tortoiseshell turned her attention back to Magpiepaw, he had finished his vole. The tom licked his muzzle before asking Dacekit if she had ever seen a dace - her own namesake. "No! Mommy said it's a li'l fish, and that's why she calls me her minnow!" Dacekit purred in response, and then her face brightened with realization. "Can you show me?"
