Tree Flying and Falcon Catching (Closed)

Night of Stormy Gales exited the warriors den, head swiveling around to search the camp clearing for a certain pale pelt. He had remembered today a promise he had made to a kitten he had spoken to once, and wanted to make good of it. Plus, he was feeling a bit lonely as of late; he had never made many friends in the Tribe after all. Might as well start fresh in this new place.

Finding young Rosepaw near the prey-pile, he nudged the now apprentice's shoulder and purred; "You still want to learn how the Tribe hunts?" Flicking his long black tail energetically, Night tilted his head in a playful, kit-like way.

Rosepaw was in deep thought not really paying much attention to what she was doing when she suddenly felt a paw nudge her. Jumping she turned to see Night it took her a moment to calm down then another as she remembered they're conversation from so long ago but she returned his purr.

"Of course! Sorry I was in deep thought about something. But yes I would love to! Where are we going?" Her excitement was showing as she bounced lightly on her paws, like she did when she was a kit just a few moons ago. Her tail flicked with energy as she bounced around Night. "I can't wait! The other apprentices will be so jealous when they find out I learned moves from a Tribe cat! Especially little foxheart, Willow!"

Night couldn't help but laugh at his young friend's antics, lifting a front paw out of the way as she hopped around him. "Okay okay, calm down. You'll scare away all the prey before we even get out there at this rate." Though the words were scolding, they were spoken in an amused tone, and with a knowing smile. Night couldn't help but see himself in Rosepaw; he was just as excited when he had gotten to leave the cave for the first time, and caught his first bird. Those were the days.....if only Snowflake, Adder, and Thunder could be beside me now like they were then....

Quickly sweeping away the sad thoughts, the evening-black tom waved his tail towards the entrance and began to pad out towards the forest. Twisting his head back to glance at Rosepaw, he purred; "We'll have to find a fairly open space to practice. Even though I doubt any falcons or eagles will be swooping down here in SkyClan territory, we can still try the moves we used on smaller birds." Against his best interest, Night suddenly wished that they could actually find a bird of prey; falcon had always been his favorite prey to eat, and to hunt. He hadn't had any since long before the Tribe left the mountains, and he craved the unique musky flavor.
