Flint's hunt (closed)

Mapleshine let out a soft yawn as she padded out of the warrior den towards the apprentice den.
She was going to learn her apprentice how to hunt in the snow today and she briefly wondered if Flintpaw was going to be good at it. She quickly shook the thought away, he was her son of course he was going to be good at hunting! She smiled wondering what his first catch would be and how quick he would be at catching it.
She was not going to be angry if his first prey escaped him of course, but deep down she knew that Flintpaw would be a great hunter.
She looked into the apprentice den where most where still asleep and whisperd "hey Flintpaw wake up its time for hunting."
She made sure he was awake and walked towards the exit of the camp. A little bubble of excitement growing in her the first time her son would leave the camp and the first time he would go hunting, and she was the one chosen to learn him all of that!
She smiled it was probably a good thing that she was chosen she was sure that if Flintpaw would have an other mentor she would have been watching them the whole time making sure her son would get the best of training.
As a chilly dawn breeze ruffled her fur she watched the apprentice den for her apprentice to come out.

The sleeping apprentice stirred as he heard his mother call for him.  The young tom stretched his body as far as he could before he exited the den.  Flintpaw joined his mentor and waited for what was to come.  "What's the plan for today?"

Mapleshine smiled at her son "today you will learn how to hunt, know that it can be a bit difficult in the snow so it won't be a problem if it doesn't go as you want." she signed for her son to follow her as she guided the apprentice out of camp an into the territory.
The snow was't to thick today so hunting should go a little better she hoped. When they came to a spot deep enough in the territory she came to a halt "Alright I will show you how to do the hunting crouch you watch carefully okay?" she let herself fall down into a crouch "now what you want to do is to be careful not to stand on anything that could give away your position, after you make sure of that you sneak closer to your prey until you are in jumping range after that you pounce on it and quickly kill it, you understand?".
