Pinekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Pinekit stomped out of the nursery. She had been in a bit of a sour mood, after she heard that her siblings had been apprenticed before her. And, no less, their mentors were the two most important cats  in the clan - no, in the forest! She had wanted to snap at them, but decided that wouldn’t get her anywhere any faster. She wanted to be an apprentice! No, she needed to be an apprentice. She had groomed herself all special for her ceremony, too. So now she sat beneath the rock, wide eyes filled with hope. She tried to hold herself like a warrior would. That would help, right? Yes, it would. And no one would tell her any otherwise.
