Training for Thistlepaw (closed)

Padding into the apprentice sleeping area, Smokepelt found his apprentice's pelt among the other sleeping mounds and prodded the tom's side. "Wake up," he mewed, stoic as ever, and exited the sleeping cats. Sitting over by the entrance, the tall grey and white tom waited for Thistlepaw to join him so they could start their morning training.

Thornpaw sat up, bleary-eyed. "Already?" He complained, stretching. "Can't I sleep for a few more minutes?" The apprentice had hardly gotten the words out of his mouth when Smokepelt exited the den. Guess not... The tom flicked his tail, unsure of himself for a moment. He ran his tongue over his paw and drew it over one ear, watching Smokepelt's retreating back pensively for a moment. His mentor seemed... less than enthusiastic. Deciding it would be a bad idea to cross Smokepelt without getting to know him better, the young tom gave his pelt a shake and hopped out of his nest, stepping over (and sometimes accidentally on) his sleeping companions.

Standing up when his apprentice arrived, Smokepelt gave his pelt a shake. "Let's go," the tall warrior mewed blandly and with that, trotted through the camp entrance and out of camp. "We're going to the Thunderpath first," he added, not looking behind him when he spoke, seeing as though it was most likely that Thistlepaw wasn't far behind.
