Bramblekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardclaw leaped up onto the Highrock and yowled out to the clan; "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Bramblekit padded to his first clan meeting tail held high, his pelt shone a glossy brown following a thorough washing by his father. The young kit flexed his claws in anticipation as he took up his place before the high rock.

Birchheart watched the ceremony, smiling softly as the youngest addition to her family waited for his name. It was good seeing the clan grow like this, young, capable cats taking the place of the dark legacies staining their names.

Leopardclaw smiled down faintly at the young tom as he approached the base of the stone, and started the ceremony.  "Bramblekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed.  From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Bramblepaw.  Your mentor will be Robinsong.  I have confidence that she will pass down all she has learned onto you."

Leafstorm watched from the nursery as his youngest son became an apprentice- to Robinsong, no less. One of his favorite grandchildren had become a mentor, and he nearly purred at the thought of his great big family, growing and caring for one another.
Or what was left of his family.
With a sigh, he padded forward and began to chant with the crowd. "Bramblepaw! Bramblepaw! Bramblepaw!" He cheered.

Robinsong stepped forwards with a grin. Her first apprentice! She briefly touched noses with Bramplepaw. ”Training starts at dawn. I’ll teach you everything I know.” She mewed happily, her tail swishing behind her.

Bramblepaw nodded to his new mentor, "Thank you Robinsong, I'll be ready." The freshly minted apprentice spoke with enthusiasm that belied his inner monologue, and once you have taught me everything, I'll be able to rip Ivystar's throat out.
