Advice Show?

So, something I don't think I've ever mentioned on here is that I have a YouTube channel. I don't really update it regularly at the moment, since it's primarily been to keep records of me screaming about video games, but that's something I plan to change. Wild gave me a great idea, though!

Since I really like helping people and giving lectures about things - seriously, I'd be a teacher if I didn't hate the education system - I might make an advice show! I wouldn't be mean or anything, though - the point is to help people, and maybe build up their confidence if they need it. But this is only if people are interested.

It'd be focused around questions, and trying to offer answers and assistance. Completely anonymous, if I can figure out how.

The YouTube channel if anyone wants to see my dumb face/hear my screamy voice. Language warning, I think? None of these are from the last few months, so I don't remember much from the few videos I do have on there. Also volume warning 'cause I'm kinda loud.

First off: Your voice and face aren't dumb. <3 You stop dat right now.

Secondly: I say go for it. The more advice channels and such there are, the better. Everyone says different things and no doubt some people will find it helpful. If you're super worried about quality though, I'd suggest grabbing a mic and a pop filter. You don't need to drop hundreds, there's cheap 20 dollar mics and 10 dollar pop filters depending on where you look. Though if you can afford it, I've been reccomended snowball mics many times.

Ah, I have issues with the mic and filter things, since I have to use my phone. Mics etc don't work with the computer I use at all. I'm hoping to get a proper PC for myself soon, but it'll cost over $600 so for now I'm limited to 5-10 minute, medium-quality things on my phone.

Nah, it has to do with the computer itself and my mother, so honestly I'm fine with waiting for my own. Anything's better than trying to get her to do anything. I can still use my phone, everything currently on that channel was done with it.

Also, if anyone has suggestions on how to keep questions etc. anonymous (including from me) that'd be super appreciated! Everyone deserves privacy, after all.

Okay, so everyone is in favor of this and I'm totally willing to do it. Does anyone have suggestions for a way to anonymously receive questions/problems? I can't think of anything off the top of my head. (Also naming suggestions, since I have all the creativity of a brick at the moment.)

Tumblr has anon options, they can send you questions that you then answer on the show.

I would've suggested tumblr but like... A huge majority of people seem to really hate tumblr for no fault of the site itself? Like, yeah, tumblr is trash, but the site being poorly managed and a small portion of the userbase that is absolutely awful have very little to do with one another. (I'm there for memes and bat pictures, most of the time.) If people would be willing to use it, though, I'd definitely get that set up! It'd be easy, too, I could probably have it up in a couple days.

You could use google forms, there's an anonymous option for that, and I'm pretty sure people wouldn't even need a google account to fill it out.

Oh, that's actually really good! I can't believe I forgot about Google Forms when the WCC survey was what, a week and a half ago? I just need something to call it and I can get things going.
