out in the cold [closed]

For once, there appeared to be a slight break in the weather- the bleak, grey, snow-drenched weather of the past few days had given way to a momentary glimpse of Leafbare weak sunlight. While the sunlight wasn't warm enough to melt away the hard coating of snow and ice that had fallen upon the forest, it was enough to tempt out the smaller forest-dwellers. Shaking the pestering clumps of ice off of his paws, Elmcloud gingerly shuffled his weight as he waited for Sunpaw to appear- they were going to make the most of the slightly nice weather that had been presented to them, even if it did mean getting clumps of snow and ice between their toes.

Sunpaw made her way from the apprentices den giving a pause to stretch her white and cream tabby limbs. Shaking her fur the she cat made her way over to her mentor"so...what are we doing today?"She asked.

Lifting a forepaw to give it another rueful shake, Elmcloud brought his nimble paw up to his mouth to gently tug at a particularly painful shard of snowy-ice that had lodged between his toes. His large ears twitched at the soft sounds of paws approaching, and he allowed his paw to return to its resting place upon the ground. The ruddy tom gave Sunpaw a mild-mannered chirp in greeting, his whiskers twitching as he listened to her speak. "We're gonna explore the territory," Elmcloud declared, an amused note weighing down his brisk words, "If the weather holds long enough, we might be able to work in some hunting practice."
