The fact that all of Sharptooth and Shrewheart's kits were apprentices was either a blessing to ThunderClan or a curse to the entire forest. It could really be taken both ways. The sun wasn't completely up in the air, but more than half was peeking up above the horizon line. Cats were beginning to stir in their nest, and prey was beginning to come out of its burrows and trees. Everything seemed to be slow and peaceful, just like how a sunrise should be.

Wisteriapaw was more than glad that all of her littermates were finally apprentices, and now they could all train side by side, together. After Dappledpaw had received his apprentice name, the five littermates had decided to go out into the forest for some hunting. The Clan needed food, after all. If it was any other group of cats, then Wisteriapaw wouldn't have wanted to go out with them, but considering that it was her siblings, she felt completely comfortable around them. Her ginger-and-white paws led her out of the apprentice's den and towards the camp exit. She wrapped her tail patiently around her paws as she silently waited for the rest of her littermates to join her. This was going to be fun, as long as nothing got out of hand. There was safety in numbers, so if something were to happen, then they'd have each other's backs... hopefully. Wisteriapaw suddenly began to have second thoughts. What if a fox or a badger jumped out at them? What if they got lost? What if they ran into a rival Clan? What if one of them fell into the river border? What if an eagle picked one of them up and carried them off? Her bold yellow eyes suddenly had an anxious glitter in them, and she stared down at her paws, continuing to list off different possibilities in her head.

Dappledpaw opened his eyes and stirred sleepily. He blinked once. Twice. Three times. The thought finally occurred to him that he and his siblings were going out today. He leapt to his paws and practically smashed through the exit to the apprentice den, a mess of fur. He tripped over his massive paws and managed to skid all the way over to Wisteriapaw on his belly. He climbed to his paws, a little embarrassed, he gave his sister’s ear a loving little lick. He noticed the anxiety in her gaze and walked in front of her, moving his face so close to hers they almost touched whiskers. He remained silent for a second, his green gaze serious, before he shouted out: ”Don’t be scared!” as loud as he could. He chuckled at his own hilarity and looked out for the others. They should be here soon.

Wildpaw was woken up by the movement of her siblings. She had a habit for sleeping in but today, she'd wake up on time. The fire-pelted she-cat stepped out the den sleepily, yawning and stretching as she reached her siblings. "Why'd we get up so early, Wisteriapaw? I think a sunhigh patrol is nicer." she meowed. She started to groom her glossy pelt. She'd shine like starts before they left if she kept at it. She kept her appearance up if nothing else.

Wisteriapaw let out a soft purr in response to Dappledpaw's small sign of affection, and she pulled her face back a tiny bit once her brother decided to push his muzzle towards her. Her yellow eyes opened wide in surprise and she flinched once Dappledpaw shouted at her to not be scared. After recovering, she shot him a small and timid smile.
"M-maybe you sh-shouldn't d-do that next t-time... c-cats are sl-sleeping." She told the tom.
Wisteriapaw glanced over at her sister, Wildpaw, after the she-cat came over to join them.
"B-because all th-the prey i-is starting t-to w-wake up," She started, softly, "P-plus i-it's a lot q-quieter wh-when the sun is ris-rising."

ooc; i don't know if a warrior is required, but if you really want to bring in birchheart, then you can.

Flickerpaw nodded. "We get first pick at prey to catch." She said, agreeing with Wisteriapaw. "Now all we need is Featherpaw, I think."

Featherpaw padded out of the apprentice den with a yawn. He stretched his back and claws before hurrying towards his siblings as he heard Dappledpaw yowl. He winced, ears flat as he padded over and gave a playful sheathed smack at Dappledpaw's shoulder.
"Well I think the whole clan is up now." He teased as he glanced at his siblings with a smile. "We should go and make our parents proud." He suggested, nudging Flickerpaw with his shoulder. "I can't wait to catch a nice big squirrel." He added. Though he doubted he'd actually find a fat squirrel in leaf-bare, the thrill of catching one excited him. The thrill of simply hunting with his siblings had his green eyes nearly glowing in delight.

Dappledpaw shrugged Featherpaw off of him. ”Aww, come on! Wisteriapaw, don’t look so nervous. What could go wrong? Are we all ready to go?” Dappledpaw leapt up again, flicking Featherpaw’s muzzle with his tail lightly.

Flickerpaw nodded. "I think so. Let's go!"

Wisteriapaw could've gone on a long, detailed, endless spiel about what could possibly go wrong, but she immediately thought against it. The young she-cat stood up once she silently noted that all of her littermates were there. As long as nothing went wrong, this was going to be great. Wisteriapaw couldn't help but smile softly as Flickerpaw, Dappledpaw, and Featherpaw displayed their enthusiasm. She glanced over at Wildpaw, still managing to hold her smile.
"R-ready to g-go, Wi-Wildpaw?"

Wildpaw nodded. "Yeah, let's hurry before Dappledpaw yells again..." she meowed, standing up and trotting to the entrance. She looked back at her siblings. What a bunch they were...

Featherpaw watched Wildpaw with amusement. He purred at Wisteriapaw and gave her a comforting nudge before he leapt out in front of his siblings with a playful smirk.
"Last one out of the ravine has to do tick duty on the elders!" He mewed cheerfully to his siblings before he lunged through the bramble opening. He slowed down to a walk before attempting the tricky slope leading up from camp. The finish line being at the top, but he was in no hurry to get injured or hurt by any ice.

Dappledpaw rolled his eyes at Wildpaw’s comment. He fixed a dopey grin on his face and charged after Featherpaw, paying no attention to the ice and brambles. His massive paws thudded against the ground as he ran, his tail streaming behind him. He overtook Featherpaw, looking over his shoulder to flash him a smug little smile. He took his eyes off his path for just a moment and he tripped over, sending him tumbling to the bottom of the ravine. He landed on his stomach halfway down and skidded on the ice until he was left in a heap at the bottom. He got to his paws, his brows furrowed in anger, and decided to just walk the rest of the way to avoid that again.

Flickerpaw's eyes darted to Dappledpaw. She was torn between maybe helping Dappledpaw and winning the race. She hoped she had made the right decision, and she leapt up, thumping her paws solidly but as fast as she could, trying to catch up to- and maybe get ahead of- Featherpaw.

Wisteriapaw glanced over at Featherpaw as he nudged her and offered her brother a smile before he announced the race. The ThunderClan cat quickly scrambled after her littermates as they all took off. While she loved serving her Clan, not even the most humble apprentice enjoyed tick duty. She could practically smell the repulsive scent of mouse bile as she ran, but she was still cautious and wary around the slippery ice despite the rush she was in. Looking back, Wisteriapaw saw that Dappledpaw had slid down to the bottom of the ravine in an attempt to win the entire competition. She slowly made her way over to the tom and fixed him with a worried glance.
"D-Dappledpaw, a-are you o-okay?" She asked, concern evident in her soft voice.

”Yeah, I’m fine. Go on, to win the race!” he urged his sister, nuzzling her shoulder softly. He flicked his tail towards the others. ”Wouldn’t want them to win.” he joked, picking up his pace slightly. He wanted to avoid the ice, so he remained slow and cautious. ”I’ll care for the elders. Stupid race anyway.” he muttered. Not wanting to seem like a bad sport, he continued to scramble up the ravine, wishing it wasn’t such hard work.
