Rowankit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to hunt their own prey, gather beneath the willow branch for a clan meeting." Jaystream mewed leaping over the usual branch where he made his announcement. There was no fear in his eyes and he wasn't trembling anymore when he fixed his eyes on his clanmates. Finally, he was overcoming his usual shyness when he had to speak in front of a lot of cats.

Focusing again on the ceremony, the deputy searched for the young cat that was going to be an apprentice today.

Rowankit walked proudly into the clearing, his ginger fur sparkling in the sunlight.

"Rowankit, you have reached the age of six moons, and now it is time for you to be apprenticed." He started, catching the attention of his fellow clanmates as he looked at young tom. "From now on you will be known as Rowanpaw until the day you're ready to become a warrior and your mentor will be Snowblossom. I pray to Starclan that she will pass all her knowledge to you." With a final nod, he finished the ceremony and left the branch to join the celebration of the new apprentice for a while before returning to his usual deputy's duties.

Snowblossom blinked as she was named a mentor. Her first apprentice... could she be for this tom everything Amberpelt was to her? Was she qualified? Well, she was about to find out. Keeping her nervousness at bay, the fluffy young warrior walked up and touched her nose to the tom's. "I'm happy to be your mentor," she meowed kindly, a hint of wonder in her tone. She wouldn't let Jaystream down!
