Lynxkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardstar leaped onto the Highrock, ready for another ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Cherryfang heard the call and smiled some as she gently nudged a nervous Lynxkit from the nursery.

Lynxkit was a mixture of nervous and excited. Once her mother nudged her out she slowly scampered forward and sat down

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on "Lynxkit, please, step forward”.

The light brown tabby looked up flicking a tufted ear she stepped forward eagerly.

Leafstorm watched yet another of Cherryfang's litter step forward with a faint grin. Little Lynxkit looked nearly identical to Leafstorm's sister, Icekit. Although it made his heart ache for his lost siblings, he couldn't help feeling proud of his kin. He had a faint feeling that Icekit was there too, watching over Lynxkit.

(Ink isn't feeling well, so I'm taking over ceremonies for a while; pretend Leopardclaw was there the whole time C:)

Leopardclaw smiled down at the kit before starting the ceremony.  “Lynxkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to become an apprentice. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Lynxpaw.  Your mentor will be Darkflight."  The spotted tom gazed down at the she-cat he once knew as leader with a smile;  "She is a strong and well-respected warrior, and I hope she passes down all she knows on to you”  He cheered the apprentice's new name along with the rest of the clan, before dismissing the crowd by jumping down from the Highrock.

Darkflight's shadowed gaze lightened as she was named the young she-cat's mentor. The fluffy warrior hopped towards her new apprentice and touched noses with her. "I'm happy to have you as my apprentice, Lynxpaw," she purred. Perhaps this would be good for her; she could keep her mind off of the recent events.

Lynxpaw blinked and smiled some her tail lifted slightly and she touched noses with her mentor"when's traini ng"She asked eagerly.
