An Oaks Patrol

Oakfall rose from the warrior den, excited to begin a new day. His warrior vigil was two nights ago, and he was so ready to begin his life as a warrior. With his new adopted daughter with his friends, with the clan. What should I do now? He thought. He went over to the prey pile and quickly wolfed down a rabbit, then padded over by the camp entrance. I can lead a patrol today! Oakfall realized happily. And sitting down near the entrance, he began to wait.

Swiftpaw had been out and about lately. He had just gotten back from a solo stroll when he spotted Oakfall at the camp entrance. He sped up his walking until he reached him. "Hello Oakfall!" the young apprentice greeted. "Are you leading a patrol today? If you are may I join?" the excited tom asked.

Oakfall smiled at the excited young apprentice. "Sure you can come Swiftpaw!" The fluffy brown tom replied. He knew this would simply be a patrol he was leading, but he was excited to be helping an apprentice. He couldn't wait to become a mentor and train an apprentice if his own.

Newtpaw padded closer to Swiftpaw and Oakfall. With excitement she yelled: "Can I join you?"

Oakfall chuckled as the apprentice yelled, then meowed, "Of course you can come! I recommend keeping your voice down if we hunt though, ok?" He remembered with a smile when he had been this excited about training, about patrolling, about hunting... He shook his head, smiling. Was he always this excited?

Newtpaw happily nodded and began walking in the circles while she was waiting for patrol to begin. It was first patrol without her mentor and she was trying to disguise her excitement from two cats next to her.

Cloverpaw bounced on his paws out to the clearing, he just became an apprentice a few days ago and nothing can contain his excitement. He looked over to the entrance to find a few cats waiting he hopped over there and asked, "Are you going on a patrol! I've never been on one! What's it like?" His voice was quick. Normally he is the exact opposite of this but his excitement was taking him over.

"We are going on a patrol!" Oakfall meowed friendly, "Would you like to come? And if so, everyone ready?"

Ooc: posting order starts now. After me, it's middy, overlord, and then chopped hollow.

Swiftpaw jumped up excitedly and stated quickly, "Ready as i'll ever be!" He was very excited to get going. He loved going out but what he loved more was to help his clan and make friends.

Newtpaw turned her head in direction of Swiftpaw and nodded happily. "I am ready!" Then she flickered his tail of excitement and twiched with her long whiskers.

Cloverpaw's smile brighted as he bounced around the group, "I'm ready! I can't wait!" He wanted to bolt out of there but he knew better then to do that. It still took all his energy to not run off.

Oakfall smiled, then meowed, "Follow me!" And leading the way out of camp, he led them to a place where the rabbits were always plentiful. "Alright, let's hunt!" He meowed. Sneaking off, he caught the scent of a rabbit and followed it to where he saw the creature beneath a tree. Crouching, he snuck up on it and pounced. The rabbit was stuck between his paws, and he quickly finished it off, burying it in the ground. Then, he looked around to see if the apprentices had caught anything.

Swiftpaw had gone east of where they had started. He spotted a rabbit nibbling on a bit of vegetation. He stepped lightly and made sure it was facing the other way. He crouched and prepared to pounce. He made sure it hadn't detected him before he pounced on it. It sprung out of his grasp and fled before he got a grip of what had happened. He sighed and looked down in defeat. He went off to try and find another to catch.
