You're No Better than Foxdung! [Topic 4]

A small white she-cat with cream-colored patches all over her body padded up with her SkyClan Clanmates, Cloudpaw and Cherrymist. She was proud to be an apprentice among such noble cats as her Clan. Her thoughts were interrupted by the sight of ThunderClan.

Dandelionpaw turned to Cherrymist. "Who are they?" she asked, curious.

Leopardclaw pushed his way through a thick patch of ferns and padded into the clearing with the fallen oak that signaled their border with SkyClan. The golden spotted tabby warrior was supervising two apprentices as they hunted and patrolled the border; Rookpaw and his own apprentice Blazingpaw. He was about to turn and call for the two young toms, but the sight of the SkyClan patrol made his ears perk. He saw three cats, apparently a warrior with two apprentices as well, and one of the young she-cats had noticed him. Flicking his sleek tail dismissively, the large tom turned and called for his companions; "Blazingpaw, Rookpaw! Get your tails over here!"

Blazingpaw's large paws crunched through the dry, crumpled leaf-litter as he followed his mentor, Leopardclaw, and padded alongside another apprentice. A scent of squirrel disrupted the calm, leafy scents of the lush forest, and Blazingpaw jerked his head in the direction of it. "Hey, I.." he began to speak, but flinched as a strong Skyclan scent filled the air. Hearing Leopardclaw's call, he scrambled over to the side of the golden warrior, almost slipping while running. He quickly lowered himself into a crouch, claws slowly unsheathing and tail lashing.

"Geez, I wonder what got in their fur..." Dandelionpaw muttered to Cloudpaw. Were ThunderClan cats always so stiff and irritated? She hoped not. There couldn't possibly be a Clan full of cats like that!

Cloudpaw padded silently beside his two clanmates, nose twitching at the rank scent of another clan. Scrunching up his nose, he flicked his ears toward Dandelionpaw, "Thunderclan.." he growled under his breath. What were they doing here? Shaking his head, he turned to face the Thunderclanners, well at least where their scent was strongest. "I don't know, but they need to watch themselves." He meowed irritably. It's just like ThunderClan to act all haughty.

Rookpaw had quickly scrambled right over to Leopardclaw's side as soon as the warrior had beckoned him and the other ThunderClan apprentice who had been chosen to come along on the patrol, Blazingpaw. The scent of a rival Clan, SkyClan to be exact, flooded his nostrils and made him uncomfortable. He unsheathed his hooked claws and sank them into the dirt, looking ahead of him towards the source of the scent. He felt a growl rising in his throat, and the black fur on the back of his neck began to rise. There was obviously hostility going on between the Clans, even a kit could tell. The black tom could only hope that nothing would happen between the two Clans. All he had wanted to do today was go on patrol with his two Clanmates like he had been assigned to do.

Blazingpaw sniffed as the Skyclan patrol whispered about Thunderclan, his eyes narrowing. Getting up, he stared the newcomers down as if they were prey and he was about to catch them. "And I doubt Skyclan is any better than us," he muttered, "All they do is sit on their tails, stuffing their ugly faces with fresh-kill!" Rolling his eyes, he lashed his tail as if an adder was clinging onto it, his claws still unsheathed. "If they make just one move, they'll get their tails handed to them. But only after their pelts had been turned into nests for Thunderclan".
