Rowankit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardstar climbed the Jaggedrock again and called the summons. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Rowankit tumbled out of the den, pausing to give his sleek fur a quick checkup. Once he was sure he looked presentable he walked over proudly with his tail poker-straight in the air.

Leopardstar began the ceremony after seeing the kit tumble from the nursery. "Rowankit, step forward." He meowed, looking serious. "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training. From this moment until you receive your warrior name, you shall be called Rowanpaw. Silentstorm will be your mentor. I trust he will teach you patience and prudence." He finished, nodding to the black and white warrior.

Rowankit stumbled forward, tripping on his too-big paws and craning his neck in order to get a look at his new mentor. He purred happily, his fur fluffing up with excitement.

Silentstorm, who was totally there the whole time, blinked in surprise as he was named the clumsy apprentice's mentor. My first apprentice! He thought excitedly, eyes gleaming in amusement as the newly named Rowanpaw stumbled over his paws on his way to meet him. He craned his neck down to meet his nose to Rowanpaw's. "You might wanna get some rest. Training starts tomorrow." He meowed honestly. He knew the young tom would probably not get any sleep, he sure didn't on the morning of his apprentice ceremony, but he needed him well rested for tomorrow's training.
