Memories Stirred - A Hawk Reborn [OPEN]

Her pale tabby fur stood on end as she heard the voice of the queens. Quickly she forced it to lie flat and turned around calmly. She looked up courageously into the face of Sparrowfeather flicking her ears forward. She dipped her head respectfully and spoke to the queen "We were just going to play by the entrance. I wanted to be there to help the warriors carry the fresh-kill to the pile when they return. Please let Hawkkit come with me." She mewed before looking up pleadingly into the cat's face. Stupid furball just let us go. She thought but did not let the words mar the features on her delicate face.

Hawkkit nodded excitedly and looked up at her mother and grandmother hopefully. Goldenbreeze hesitated, looking at Hawkkit worriedly but Sparrowfeather let out a purr and nodded her head, chuckling a bit. "Come Dear, let the kits be kits. They know not to leave camp, letting them wait for the hunting patrols to come back in the tunnel won't kill anyone." Hawkkit squeaked with joy. "Thanks Grandma!" Hawkkit quickly came forward and nuzzled her head against Goldenbreeze's leg. "Don't worry Momma! We'll be careful." With that the queen and elder nodded and padded over to the fresh-kill pile to get something to eat while the waited on the kits.

Turning to Quietkit, Hawkkit giggled and skipped after her.

Quietkit

Quietkit dipped her head calmly to the two warriors. It took all of her self control not to leap up and tear away from them but she did it. She managed. She flicked her tail and smirked at Hawkkit as she came closer. "See how easy that was?" She asked her blue eyes bright with excitement and delight. "Don't worry we'll be back before we're even missed. AND we'll have prey to share." She padded to the entrance of camp and with barely a glance backward she slipped through it and into the territory beyond. Her eyes widened at the sight of how open everything was. She flicked her ears forward and could hear the wind racing across the moor, accompanied by the sound and scent of many things she didn't understand. "What do you think Hawkkit?" She asked flicking her tail and blinking at her new friend.

OOC: don't worry Seer will bring a warrior after them before they get into too much trouble. =D

"See how easy that was?" Hawkkit nodded, following Quietkit closely. As the other kit assured her that everything would be fine Hawkkit managed to calm herself, her worry dissipating. As they reached the end of the tunnel Hawkkit bolted ahead of Quietkit, her rising excitement getting the better of her.

Skidding to a halt outside of the entrance Hawkkit's eyes widened and she opened her maw to breath in al the new scents. "What do you think Hawkkit?" Giggling Hawkkit pranced around looking left and right. "It's amazing out here! And all the smells!" Bolting forward into the tall grass Hawkkit giggled again, now hopping. "And the ground is so soft!It's not grainy like the ground in camp! And it stays put!" As if to prove her point Hawkkit shoved her paw through the grass, trying to throw it up like she could the sand in camp, but it just moved around her paw.

Quietkit

The young kit purred as her friend raced ahead of her. Blue eyes danced with excitement, her heart soaring up into the sky. She glanced back at Hawkkit as she spoke "It's amazing out here! And all the smells!" The pale tabby she-cat nodded, her eyes focusing for a moment on her friend before she dashed into the grass. Quietkit let out a bright mrrow of laughter and followed her. She skidded to a stop and watched as the tabby she-kit attempted to toss the dirt into the air. "And the ground is so soft!It's not grainy like the ground in camp! And it stays put!" The pale she-kit let out a purr of amusement at her friend.

With barely a second thought she dropped to her belly and rolled onto her back, scooting her spine into the dirt and quickly soiling her pale cream fur. "Oh it is very soft!" She mewed rolling back onto her belly and quickly onto her paws. She flicked her ears forward trying to listen for the sounds of prey in the surrounding area. She flashed a look at Hawkkit, her eyes bright with excitement and determination. "Let's catch a rabbit!" She mewed and dropped into a crouch her tail high in the air and her belly dragging the ground as she stalked toward a clump of tall grass across from where she and Hawkkit were.
