Fuzzy Adventures, the Sequel (Open)

Brierkit wiggled out of the hole in the camp wall after his sister, trying desperately to contain his giggles. He shook out his fur and turned to the white she-cat, eyes glowing. "Where do we go? Which way is the gorge?"

Swankit looked around at the thick, towering trees around her. The territory was so beautiful! She imagined all the warriors of Skyclan leaping through the trees, like the apprentices sometimes practiced outside of the nursery. What if she could do that...

Shaking herself from her thoughts, she stared at the woods. "I guess that way, because it smells like old cobwebs, which I heard is what Thunderclan smells like, and Thunderclan is right next to Riverclan!" she guessed.


OOC: Do you want them to hump into a predator?

Brierkit followed his sister's gaze to the trees, wondering if she were thinking of jumping from branch to branch like SkyClan did. His ear flicked with unease, doubting that he himself would ever be a good jumper.
He looked back over at Swankit when she spoke and then nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! Maybe we can even see some warriors if we stay quiet enough!"

//That might be fun. Two kits running screeching from a fox or something always adds to the drama x'D//

The duo had been walking for a while. Swankit could swear that musty, old smell was getting stronger, but there was something off about it. It seemed like the same old territory, no differences as far as her eye could see. Some night creature shuffled off to the side. An erie hoot sounded far above. Thick fog had started to develop, and she could barely see where she was going. She started jumping a little whenever a twig snapped or a leaf rustled. It seemed more like a nightmare than a little exploration through the forest, and Swankit was ready to sneak back into camp.

Just as she was doubting her wisdom to go here, the smell suddenly got stronger. She stopped in a small clearing, staring at the trees around her. She could scent something she never smelled before, an old dry smell she assumed must be the Thunderclan territory line. Turning around excitedly, she bounced up to Brierkit.

"Hey, Hey! I think I smell the border right here! Look a-"

Swankit screamed as sharp claws, larger than her whole body, crashed into the side of her head.

Brierkit let out a wail, though it quickly became sharp with anger rising above the fear that made him want to retch. He squeaked as he hissed, narrowly avoiding being slashed in half when the badger swung at him, the kit pressing himself into the snow. The snow! Brierkit turned and started digging, kicking as fast as his stubby little legs would allow. The badger growled in annoyance when snow splashed against it's muzzle and nose, shaking it's head before sneezing loudly. Brierkit leaped towards his sister and dug his teeth in her scruff, thanking whatever ancestors made her so small as he dragged her away. He could hear the badger growling as he dragged Swankit under the roots of a tree, hoping desperately that it wouldn't scent them here. He flattened himself over his sister's body, long fur fluffed out. He didn't know if she was alive or not; he couldn't hear her breathing over the sound of his own heartbeat, and the shock that was slowly setting in.

Swankit groaned, a sound barely audible over the heavy breathing coming from somewhere. Hacking up a few globs of blood, she slowly came to consiousness. Gasping in shuddering breaths, she looked around dazed at the large roots racing above her. "Wha-what's happened?" she breathed in her half-conscious self, dimly feeling something wet and burning on the side of her head.

OOC: We should finish this, Swan needs to be brought back to camp to get her apprentice ceremony.

OOC: Okay last chance for someone to save Swankit

OOC: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa duuuuuude whyyyy XC

Crowstar had noticed the kits slip out earlier in the day, but he figured one of the other warriors would have noticed and gone after the kits. After a few minutes went by and no one moved the black fluffy leader hurried out of camp, following the kit's scent with ease. Though his fear rose as soon as he smelled Badger along with theirs... And blood... The leader felt his feet moving faster.

As soon as the badger scent got stronger the leader slowed down. He couldn't take a badger on his own, especially with two kits who needed his help. He saw the badger moving its way back to it's den, but he didn't see any bodies of the kits. The leader moved on following the scent of blood and kit as best as he could. Soon seeing the two small bodies hiding under tree roots. "It's okay you are safe now." The leader scoped up the two kits, holding them by their scruff and hurried back to camp to have the medicine cats take care of them.

ooc: Boom.

IC: Swankit coughed up a glob of blood as Crowstar carried her to camp.
