Start Them Young (Closed)

In the shadows near the outskirts of Thunderclan territory, a solid brown, battle-scarred tom lurked. He was all alone. This would be easier alone. Trusting the barn cats was not something he was ready for quite yet. But maybe he could terrorize a few clan cats into listening. His ear flicked, listening for any sound other than the prey that scurried among the tree roots. The fact that his fur was crusted in mud made him mildly uncomfortable and all the more aggravated that he had to wait. However, rolling in the mud masked his scent. No cat would be able to smell him coming. The brown tom sheathed and unsheathed his claws impatiently from his hiding place as he waited for some cat to pass by. Soon...soon... He repeated to himself internally.

Lichenpaw being in the group hunting had managed only to catch a mouse. She hasn't seen spottedpaw blunder and she wouldn't have said anything if she did. She caught up to her."better luck next time right?"she mewed.

There were two young cats in his line of vision and he could smell another one lurking around. They looked like they were trying to hunt. Bear scoffed. If they were with me, they would know how to hunt properly by now, He thought with disdain for the clans, But they have potential. Once they were close enough to his position. The huge, brown tom exploded from his hiding place.

"Run and I will chase you down and with you hadn't," He snarled down at them with a glare that let them know he meant what he said. In fact, if they did run, it would be just another fun exercise for the rogue. His long claws unsheathed as he fixed them with a menacing stare, "You will be coming with me. I don't want any trouble, or my claws tearing at your throat will be the last thing you see." Typically, the tom was cool and calculated. He wasn't usually as direct or threatening right off the bat. However, with this bath being younger, he figured they would be more likely to run rather than fight like the older cats. Bear did not want to deal with that.

Lichenpaw had blinked and what happened next she hadn't expected it. When the huge Tom came from the bush Lichenpaw's fur bushed up making her looked twice her size. It was just before he had said don't try to fight back that her claws had already unsheathed. She tried to act unafraid though a tiny bit of fear had seeped in.

Stillpaw was a little ways behind the two. They were a bit faster at her since her deformity kept her behind. She flicked her tail just slight as she had started to reach the others. She then stopped dead in her tracks fur bristling in alarm as she seen the huge tom.

OOC: She's going to be defiant and courageous. Perhaps Bear can injure, not permanently, but enough to scare the other apprentices into following?

Occ: that is exactly what he will do :D

Bear narrowed his eyes as he looked over the feisty she-cat. It was easy to smell the fear scent that underlined their clan stench, despite her brave words. He shook his head slowly, chuckling lightly. The three of them made up quite the trio. Bear doubted it would be hard to deal with them at all. His claws fully unsheathed and in one fluid motion he leaped onto Spottedpaw. The she-cat was pinned firmly with Bear's sharp claws lightly piercing the skin on her soft neck.

"I find it amusing that you think it would be that easy," He snarled down at her through gritted teeth. It was easy to keep her pinned as his head swung around to look at the other apprentices. The cold anger lined his words and they left his throat, "No more attempts brave, forest cats. I could take you down easily right now. Your friend would be the first to go. I assume you would rather not watch her die. If we can do this without anymore foolish defiance, you all live. Do you understand?" Bear's torn ear twitched with aggravation as he waited for them to give an answer. Soon, they would all be headed back to the barn.
